IHM-27-OLV - Sateen M-65 Field Jacket - Olive
-
@mister_m:
wow this olive m-65 is perfect. even the shade of green is better than anything else on the market. i want the duck m-65, but if I could have two jackets from this season this would be the other.
Agree! I thought I was all set with M65's with my IHM-20 but this one I think is calling my name… measurements on the L look to be very close with my IHM-20 (size L)...

Given the bi-swing back, do you guys think that there may be an opportunity to size down on this one?

I couldn't decide between olive and grey so I ordered both… One will likely be making it's way back to the UK but you never know...
Didn't want to miss out on these!

Went with small in olive! No such thing as too many jackets.

Hello guys,
i was on the lookout for an Iron Hearts M65 for some time and was quite happy when i saw the items for Fall/Winter 18. It seems, howether, that the jackets are produced in extremely low numbers and it is stated that they will not be restocked. Am i correct in my assumption that the olive M65 in size L is sold out on the first day and my chance to buy one in 2018 is lost?
On something comepletely different:
While the jacket sounds to be almost perfect to me i am unsure about the fabric. To me 100% cotton seems to be inferior in terms of durability and time to dry compared to NYCO or a polycotton blend. Could someone elaborate on the quality and thickness of the fabric and on its performance in wet condition?
Also, i could not find any information about the approximate weight of the jacket.Thank you thery much for your response.

There were four or five L on release at
1700GMT(EDIT: 16:00 GMT) today and they went quickly. This isn't unusual and it pays to watch the release of certain items closely if you are keen on getting one. The following retailers will/are also stocking the jacket so you may be able to pick one up still:STOCKISTS
Iron Heart UK
Iron Heart Vienna
Brund
Canoe ClubThe lining of the jacket is waterproof so you won't get wet but the outer layer is 100% cotton so it will and it will take some time to dry.

@erazerhead, if I were you, I'd look into Canoe Club, based in Colorado. If you email, maybe you could get them to notify you as soon as they have them. While IH UK sells out super fast on some items, I've seen other shops keep items that sold out here in stock for some time. The most most popular jackets are going fast from US retailers this year, so I wouldn't delay if you decide you want it, but you at least have a chance there.
Also. I know the rapid sell outs on some key items can be frustrating, but as @Giles has mentioned, they can't always predict which items they can move a ton of vs 1-2 per size, and they can't really afford to get stuck with tons of unsold product. Yeah, IH is expensive, but I don't think the margin is too big by the time they pay import taxes and ship it out, and sometimes that leaves people without a really cool item just to make sure business remains viable for them.
