Giles and Paula's Great Retirement Adventure

Beautiful

Headroom is brilliant, I have to dip my head a tad, but really just a tad....
The camera is a cock-up. I ordered it, then decided that I would prefer an Infra Red camera in there, so deleted it from the spec, with a view to retrofitting an IR. Obviously, a lost-in-translation moment, I'm hoping they say, "oh fuck it, you may as well keep it"........:hand_with_index_and_middle_fingers_crossed:

Very nice. I can imagine how excited you must both be.

@ROman This is going to be EPIC
-
first start up video soon?
-
@Giles clean AND quiet. But not for long. What a beauty!
-
I'd have thought you'd go for a flying bridge
-
We gave it serious consideration.
For -
- It means we can drive from upstairs
- We could have the life raft up there without spoiling her looks
Against -
- It's a fucker to keep clean
- It restricts rear-view visibility from the helm
- The rear deck is compromised by having the stairs going up top
- It is probably too hot in the Med to use it in the summer
- It is hardly ever nice enough to use it in the UK
- It costs a shit load more (just doubling up the instruments and controls is eye-wateringly expensive)
- We think the hard-top is a lot prettier
-
Looks more seaworthy without

Wandered around the local port this evening.
José Luis's (the current owner of Sasga Yachts) father started Sasga in the 1960's, I am pretty sure this is one of his earlier creations. They have always taken design cues from Menorcan Llauts, which; is a near vertical stem, canoe stern and large rear platform....

Today, as we were leaving the hotel, @Madame-Buttonfly spied a Sasga 54 coming into the bay. We surmised it must be hull 53, which we saw a couple of days ago, so we hot-tailed it to the dock where we last saw it. We got there just in time to see her being berthed, we were invited on board to take a look. I did not take that many pics, I think P did.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know this is the wrong thread @goosehd
