@TelemarkTumalo Are those Nicks boots made with Wicket and craig oil tanned latigo or is that different leather? I have a pair in that leather and I love them. How are they breaking in for you mine are still fairly stiff.
-
@pmadison95 Good eye on the boots. Yes, Nicks with the W&C oiled, veg tan Latigo. I'm about 7 weeks into these and still breaking them in. My only tight spots are at the medial malleous (inside ankle bones). The foot beds are breaking in nicely and I'm starting to feel my feet molding these. Some folks complain about the stiff heel counter, but these are fine for me. Likewise, the arch support. I really like it. Since this picture, I've taken several hikes of +5 miles, and they are starting to soften in the upper. It seems that this is a combination of the vegetable tanning and the thickness of the leather. I see it as an investment. Several people have told me that once these are broken in, they will be like my favorite pair of gloves.
