anyone experimented with baking from a cold oven?
The two loaves posted above had one started in a stone cold dutch oven inside a cold oven and the other one was baked in the hot dutch oven and oven after the 1st came out of the dutch oven. Really couldnt tell much difference and saved nearly ~45minutes of time not needing to wait for an initial preheat.

Oh, I thought I was a baker until I found this thread! Your breads look amazing! I’m usually tight on time. I found the Jim Lahey My Bread book a good way to get fresh homemade bread with little time. Definitely doesn’t have the depth of flavor as sourdough but still pretty good. He even has a chocolate coconut loaf recipe in there.
