That's a style of shoes - you can't expect them to differ thàt much…
^ Yeah, exactly. Mocs have been made like that since before we were born.
oh yes of course
I've no problems with the shoes, they're great looking and worth the money
I wish I owned all of them
just shopping for a new pair of shoes and seeing all the new shoes popping up
that are hand-sewn in Maine and so similar looking
and many of them sold by companies not based in Maine
makes you wonder if they're all made by the same peopleI don't really want to wait 6 weeks for some OSB's…
trying to decide on a pair of the Epaulets
or some Yuketen angler mocs -
@Geo:
. . . plus (and I've said this before on the forum) that feckin christie sole is getting stuck onto just about every shoe in world production . . . i'm buying shares in vibram
yes yes yes
I like it a lot on the Yuketen Maine Guides and Red Wings
but not quite as much on the oxfords
and I'm not sure I'll like it at all a year from now on anything other than boots -
Jaco - Check out Quoddy, too. Though unless you can find someone with stock you'll run into the same wait issue. At some point I'll start a thread for them. Maybe something like these?

Seul and I are on the same ride today, the soles sold me on those oxfords. I agree that it will be played at some point, and it does look ridiculous on some shoes.

thanks nameness
gonna see what George at OSB has in stock, like those Epaulets and I bet that leather will age nicely
of course all the Yuketens are nice
want something to wear to work with chinos, semi professional, but also with denim and sockless casual summer with shorts even would be perfect
so many choices…

I love the vibram soles - sold me on those oxfords really… Des goûts et des coleurs...
i agree seul - we all have our likes and dislikes . . . and i really do agree the christie looks good on the oxford.
all i meant was it is getting a little tiresome that too many shoemakers/designers have seemingly opted for one type of sole regardless of the shoe style or function

I know you've all moved on to discussing these Epaulet shoes now…
But just to say that after posting on here this morning to ask how long people in the UK have had to wait for USPS to deliver their OSB order, I get home to find a note from ParcelForce UK saying they have my package, and I just need to pay an extra £20 for VAT and 'Clearance' (whatever that is). With a bit of luck I'll be able to pick them up on my way into work tomorrow.
Sweet!
