IHWE-JMHH-BRN - Iron Heart Int'l x Wesco® - 8" Maryam Horsehide Jobmaster® Boot
-
Any news on these? Which last is used?
-
Thanks Alex. So there is no scheduled restock?
-
No, but we are working on something very similar in a new leather (this leather is discontinued)
This is the new TPR full veg tanned horsehide from Maryam that we will be running these boots in going forward. It's quite hard to get a true colour photo because when it's flat it has quite a lot of shine but there is a really nice fine grain to it.
-
Thanks. So nothing changed in the meantime. These boots would be handy right now, with snow in some parts of Europe.
What about the last?

Thank you very much for the information Alex. I'll keep an eye on these and hope that they'll be ready for the next winter [emoji3]

How stiff are these boots out of the box? Will they be an easy break in or will they require some serious effort? Either way they are a beautiful pair of boots!
-
@Denman-John I wouldn't say they're too brutal out the box, and the smoothness of that veg tanned horsehide definitely helps the initial comfort, but they will still need breaking in like any good pair of boots before they hit that peak 'daily driver' comfort that you want
-
I am still in the market for a pair of boots and wonder how these will look after some wear ? Also how is this sole for daily casual wear? I walk on concrete and tiles a lot and never had a boot with a lug sole
Maybe @Ross can help?
Also how about the sizing, have zero experience with wesco... Wear a 9.5 in M43 by John Lofgren and 10 in Red Wing Moc toes.
-
@FlavourFade These will be a bit different if you're not used to a lug sole but they shouldn't encounter any difficulty on hard surfaces, although you might find they wear a bit quicker due to the friction being applied to a smaller surface area if that makes sense - but we're talking over the course of years..
As for sizing i'd go with a 10D as i find Wesco sizing broadly similar to Red Wing sizing, if you've ever found yourself struggling for width in your boots then consider the 10E.
You can always shoot me an Email at Shop@Ironheart or DM if you need any extra help.
