IH-634S-A - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans (20th Anniversary Edition)

I don’t think they’re overly ostentatious like some weird mall jeans. No one would really notice. If you fuck with them you’ll regret it, trust me. You’ll be happy to have totally intact special edition jeans once they’re worn in and especially once they have gone extinct everywhere. Also, chainstitching can fail more easily than other stitches so the issue could resolve itself over time. Hard to tell since there’s no basis for comparison
In general when something is behind me, I don’t worry about it. Unless it’s chasing me.

My man lol. I thought that the color of the stitching was bothering you, but seems like you are concerned about what somebody else may think about it? I don't know what country you do reside but in the US you see some many poorly dressed clowns outhere that dims the pretty yellow stitch in your rear pockets unnoticeable. Just go to Walmart for 5 minutes and gonna get perspective pretty quick
Jokes aside i think most people will not bother noticing at all. -
888s have been my go to but have been wanting to try a more casual cut… the 20th anni run seemed a good enough excuse and was fortunate enough to find plenty still stocked at iron shop provisions. The lower rise will take some getting used to but aside from that the 634’s may have a convert.

Looks good on you!

Seconded. Truth is that everyone looks good in 634’s.
I’m going to be wearing my pair of these with love and pride thanks to this forum [emoji3590]

Thanks all! A week later, no second thoughts on the rise… loving everything about these; only issue now is I catch myself longing for a pair of engineer boots

That longing might never go away, and that's a good thing! Engineer boots are like wearing slippers that go anywhere.

There’s been a terrible development. The dreaded phone fade is starting to appear. I’m trying to remember to put my phone in my other pocket from now on.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I love an asymmetrical phone fade
I used to slip my phone in the front right pocket, but recently switched to the (lined for a reason) back pocket.
The phone chassis sharp edges, plus the constant rubbing while walking, bending and sitting, cut the fabric away inside the pocket causing massive holes. -
alexpupin totally agree! I have to use the other pocket to carry the phone. And that’s with a case.

Is it dreaded? I tell my pants where my shit goes. Not the other way around.
you shit in your pants?

Actually, back pockets are easier to reach, to stow the phone away or fetch it, than the front ones.

Y’all aren’t worried about crushing your expensive phone with your ass?
I think I’m going to keep it in the other pocket for a few months to make the fades more symmetrical then try the back pocket.

As counterintuitive as it may seem, large items stored in the front pockets suffer greater strain and bending than the ones placed in the open ended back pocket.
Try riding a bicycle with a latest >6" phone in your front pouch (if it fits at all)
Or, can you sit without taking your phone out of the front or stabbing yourself? -

My ass is huge. My phone has never been crushed.
