IHJ-100-BLK - Quilted Light Parka - Black
-
Ordered the last black one in large. I'm an XL in most IH shirts but a large in the M65. Hopefully this one fits (I'm looking for a relatively snug fit).
-
I received this one today. I'd say the L fits identical to XL in heavyweight flannels across the chest, arms and shoulders. Length is shorter though. For me it's snug as I'd prefer though this will only fit over a light shirt and likely not over something like a heavier layer.

Got mine today, warmer than I thought which is great. Wore it over a UHF around 3celsius and my body was toasty enough for a walk to the ramen shop.

Burg & SchildAre Burg & Schild still stocking these? Can't find the Parka in their Web Shop.

this parka is amazing, dont sleep on it, its just not fair i had to return my medium for being too tight and my large for being too big.

First IH tech piece and I have @Kfactor to thank for this great lightweight jacket. Specifically bought this to layer with my N1 vest and I think it will greatly extend the temp range for both pieces.
-
Looks great on you @jordanscollected
I’m glad it is with someone who will give it some wear!
-
Thanks @Kfactor. I was originally worried about the body length being too short when i took it out of the bag, but it's actually spot on perfect.
-
25f today and this jacket was perfect over a base layer on a 4 mile winter walk. It’s much warmer than I would have expected and it’s feather lite.
-
Great fit @jordanscollected
May I ask what size you went for?
If I recall correctly we are similarly sized (XXL Westerns?)
and I have a feeling this may become my next purchaseSo any sizing recommendation would be much appreciated!
Cheers

@weftyarn I am an XL in all of my Iron Heart work and western shirts, and I look for a 22.5 p2p measurement.
This jacket is an xl with measurements as follows:
p2p 22.5"
sleeve 27"
back length (neck seam to hem) 27.75"There's a ton of companies who make a nylon jacket in this format, but having the Iron heart version feels special in a personal way to me. The arms are pretty slim but I haven't had an issue wearing any of my IH shirts under it.
It's not an IH piece that you will have people feel and touch and watch them "oooh and ahhh", it's one that will get a ton of wear and you will enjoy in a huge range of weather conditions and it will have a special place in your wardrobe.
i could have skipped the last 2 paragraphs and said "lightweight workhorse" but here i am typing more.
go for XXL if that's your shirt size , you'll appreciate the layering and extra body length.

Excellent, thanks for your help!!
Those two paragraphs sound exactly like what I’m looking for.
