IH-888S-RE - 14.7oz Eco Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut
-
I have about 8 months of wear on my pair and I’ve noticed a pretty rapid break down at the hemline. They dont hit the ground so I’m a little confused why it’s happening. I wonder if it’s just the nature of the denim?
I am thinking I should start a small cuff to keep them from unraveling? I’m not sure if a hemline could be darned or if my tailor would have to bring the hem up (which I dont particularly want).
Still love this pair, I just want to rock them as long as I can. They are starting to give up their indigo and the darker weft looks great.

1 year old pair, although worn approximately 150 days. I found myself reaching for these jeans a lot during lockdown as they’re so comfortable. I think general inactivity has stifled the ageing of the fabric (except on the left thigh where I sit cross legged at my desk ), but I couldn’t be happier with this pair and how they’re developing, I’m looking forward to the next 150 days

@jerkules - fades are look’n real nice

@neph93 it really is an amazing cut. Can’t quite believe that I needed to convince myself to hang on to this pair ~1 year ago - the high rise was so new to me that I thought I’d got it wrong. 1 year on and I’m looking forward to the next year in them.
@hoppy_IPA thanks man! There’s something really satisfying about denim that gives up it’s indigo slowly. There’s a magic day where you look down and see all this texture and depth that you hadn’t really noticed. That was me today, hence my sharing!

I sent my beloved TW-666N off to @popvulture which made me sad.
But then I bought these brand new 888s from @dB and now I’m really happy.

No repairs yet. The hems seem to be fraying though for no real reason. Are yours doing that?

Yes, they roped super hard and then frayed. I guess it is the nature of the beast.
