Excellent choices on those boots. They'll age so well

@neph93 I've never thought of two tone stitching on the welt before. That's quite the unique idea. Between the Vibram 100 outsole and the double midsole I'm sure they make you want to kick some ass when they're on your feet.

Nice build @neph93, honey vibrams for the win!

Cheers guys… always very excited about new Wesco's. It is five years since my first pair and I love the journey with them.
@Palmer I specced the khaki outersole stitching. The brown stitching is either a mistake or something Wesco felt they had to do. I don't care either way as it looks bloody great, so I'm very happy

I’ve been going back and forth for a long time, but now the time has come for my first pair of engineer boots! grabbed a pair of natty CXL Mr lou’s
I’ve worn other types of cowboy boots etc but this is my first pair like this.
I’m more than a little excited

Just watch those laces @Chap. I had them on my burlap rough-outs originally and they left dark brown lines. Rough-out probably absorbs the die worse than smooth, but I probably wouldn't have used those laces had I known.

Early morning delivery…
Amazing build the single row brown welt stitch is a great touch. I have almost the exact same version but as a Whites Bounty Hunter 7" distressed rough out on honey vibram with brass hardware (arriving in June).
Are your Boss's built with the bump toe? I'm guessing not but I can't tell.

I just purchased these pretty good condition Wescos for under $300 shipped so a good deal for me. https://www.ebay.com/itm/402873862370
They weren't worn much based on the wear to the sole. I'm guessing they are a 6 or 7 inch Warren? The seller says they're burgundy but he lost the box. But they don't really have the pop of burgundy domain although it could be the lighting, anyone have any guesses?

OK… thanks for letting me know @tvenuto this particular leather is vegetable tanned, I expect lots of stains and patina… but that’s part of the game, isn‘t it?

Thank you! They were ordered with the bump toe. I have a pair with a similar build to this and found the bump toe becomes more evident with wear.

I’m not up on the names of the hybrid builds, but that looks like a Boss/Jobmaster toe with packer uppers, and I think that is the Warren.
As fot the leather, after researching the burgundy on the web a few years back, I came the conclusion that in 20 different pics it will present as 20 different shades ranging from brown to really quite red. These could definitely be Burgundy Domain. That being said the redwood oil tanned covers a similar range with wear, but if I was a betring man I’d say Burgundy Domain.
Great looking boots at a very good price. Congrats!

Agreed, and of course I'm not against evo, but it's like…if I knew a pen were leaky I wouldn't stick it in my jeans pocket on purpose. I also found I prefer the natural "give" in the woven laces. But that's the great thing about custom boots: you can do what you like.

These are the Wesco Warrens I got off eBay. Freshly saddle soaped and applied VSC conditioner, I'm pretty sure they're burgundy domain leather (more red in person than I thought). My Hendriks in size 9E are slightly too big but fit well, these Warrens are size 8.5D and are slightly too small I have to remove the leather insoles for a better fit. Not sure if I should size up my MTO order of Boss Engineers in size 8.5D, I think they're built on the same last as these Warrens.

My new natty cxl mr lou’s just showed up.
They are really nice! I don’t really know why I waited so long to get a pair of them. Now comes the fun part!
The one boot has a little squeak in the midfoot that should hopefully work it’s self out in time.
