@Filthy love it, personality, character, and individuality. I'm not a fan of show home pads, your home should be for living in and reflect your personality. I try and do that here, but cater for my wife's tastes to.

Figured it was finally time to finish our house remodel, so we have been tackling bathrooms (1 of 3 are now finally 90% done) and getting the house painted (a new, less obtuse color). Since we wanted a stained front porch snd the deck boards were 10 years old, we replaced them all this weekend… one of the worst projects of my life!! Lol

Great job @Appfaff!!

Thanks gents will look even better when the houses isn’t a faded green color lol
Also made structural Improvements by increasing the sizes of the step faces and raised them to handle some of the load from the treads - we constantly had breakage in the tread edges, so this should help!

Our latest addition. After we experienced the major freeze in February, we lost a lot of vegetation and were way more exposed than we liked. We live on a busy urban street and decided that a board formed concrete wall would be the ideal solution. Once steel prices ease up a bit, we'll finish adding tying in a combination of perforated and steel plate on either end of the wall.

That's a good looking fence, Clint. I like it. Something like that would work stylistically with our house, but I expect the cost would be prohibitive, given how long our lot is.
By the way, this is a weird coincidence- I was over at Blue Owl Brewing on Sunday and wondered how your home renovations were going…

Thanks @Chris! My wife had brought up that she wanted a board form concrete wall and I figured that it would be ludicrously expensive. Fortunately for us, we have a really good relationship with the owner of a concrete company so he did it for us at a little over cost so we jumped on it.
You might have passed right by my house depending on which route you took home! We wrapped up on our garage apartment about 6 months ago and have been doing pretty well with it as a short term rental. Here are a few pics of the finished project:

Thanks for the kind words! The last few pics are all our short term rental property. I'm happy to give an IH discount to anyone visiting Austin:

Another Austin get together would be fun.

Working from home has made my partner and I consider upsizing and viewings have started. Not sure if it is a good time to move but it would be fun to have outside space.
