Hey everyone, after years of lurking (in a non-sinister way) I have taken the plunge and joined the forum.
I live in Shrewsbury in the UK. It's a small relatively obscure town in the west of England but has Charles Darwin as its most famous son and for all those of a certain age who remember the 80s vibes was also the home of T'Pau.I am an ultra heavy flannel fiend with a few in the wardrobe, but only have jeans of up to 14oz. However I am looking at going up to 25oz so may deluge some of the XHS threads with questions (My apologies in advance).
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well in these crazy times and looking forward to touching bases in the form.

Ah…Carol Decker. Boyhood crush material for sure.
I consider the XHS to be a specialist denim so due dilligence and research is a must. Read the threads and ask away.
Welcome to the forum!

Hi all! I live in Atlanta, GA. Originally from New Orleans and I am new to the world of quality menswear. Ive gotten my first couple of pairs of IH jeans and I''m a customer for life. Very interested in trying some flannels and jackets as well.

welcome @HeathLadnier. I'm from Minneapolis but my wife and I got married in New Orleans in 2017. We go for a week every year, and even ventured down there this year for a long weekend the day after the hurricane hit.
One thing they are missing badly is a denim scene, as they cater to a more soft thin southern fabric sort of culture.
welcome to the IH forum and over engineered lifestyle.

In the early 90's I spent a lot of time in Poland (well the whole of the former Soviet Bloc actually). One winter for a "laugh", me and friend decided to drive from Zakopany to Prague, which meant going over the Tatra's. Needless to say we got lost (well everything was covered in snow) and the only other vehicle we saw was a Polish Army half-track. We asked them the way to Slovakia, they looked at us like we were mad and shrugged….
We did eventually make it though.......
