@AdamC look on the bright side. the pitch was shit, maguire and dalot opened his account and lingard scored.
4 out of the 6 goals were top bins too -
I don't know much about him but I am glad we have finally been successful in the pursuit of Fernandez! Decent buy @louisbosco @manufc10 ?
-
@AdamC Can't be any worse than Lingard so he's gotta be a success by default, right @louisbosco ?

Fernandes is quality, no doubt. The problem with me now is that I'm so pessimistic with the state of affairs that instead of looking at the Fernandes signing with excitement and optimism, I look at it and think man…does Fernandes know that he's getting himself into?
-
@manufc10 it is definitely a step in the right direction, I feared we wouldn't be able to attract any "big names" so I am pleased in that respect. It just shows how far our stock has fallen when the manchester derby last night (albeit in the league cup) didnt make the home page of BBC Sport

That was how Liverpool fans felt for long periods. Not least when Torres came. We had a couple of half decent squad players but a lot of shite, and the. Stevie G and Torres who were world class and carried the team. It was a little embarrassing.
I suppose the way to look at it is to hope it is a start. That the team building that needs to be done begins with this guy.

[/quote]That's very true and I agree. I feared we were going to end up letting him slip away but I was very pleased to see we snagged him. Not only because he is a great player that will add value but to also prove we can still snag some "big names" like you said.

I'm still not sure what we should do about Pogba though….I can't decide if we will be better off with him or without him.
-
@AdamJ lingard's still young.. give him a chance..
@AdamC well i'm more happy that they've managed to signed him instead of dicking about with money, contracts and all that crap that shitward is doing. i'll take what he did at sporting with a pinch of salt because not many great players overseas do well in the premier league.. but definitely looks promising..

Well there was that Ronaldo guy…..

Well there was that Ronaldo guy…..
and then there was also that
stormzylukaku guy.. so i hope this nobody will be chasing any first touches down the m25.. -
cantona's got a good shot on him. and no i didn't mean the goals..

stormzylukaku guy.. so i hope this nobody will be chasing any first touches down the m25..Well I'm not sure if I'm understanding what you said correctly, but it sounds like you're saying that not many foreign players do well in the premier league? I don't think that could be further from the truth. This would imply that most of the best players in the league are UK based which is just not true. The premier league is full of quality foreign players and is probably the most non-domesticated league of the big 5. If you look at the player of the season awards over the course of the Premier League the vast majority of those players were foreign players.
Ruud, Cantona (as Giles mentioned), Ronaldo, Henry, Van Dijk, Salah, Aguero, Schmeichel, Ljungberg, Suarez….the list goes on.
Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying, but to say foreign players don't do well in the premier league is just not an accurate statement.

i think what i'm trying to imply was that there's a lot of brilliant foreign players in the premier league. However, while that is the truth, there's also a bunch of foreign players that struggled to adapt to the pace and physicality of the premier league. What i'm just trying to say is, let's give them a few games under their belt before we try and predict how we'll they'l do in the EPL..

Thanks for the assist [emoji1433][emoji1433][emoji1433]
You guys are 25 points ahead. Don’t think any “assist” was necessary
