Tricker's

Surprised there's no thread on this classic English shoemaker. I have one pair so far of the stow boot which I love. I am now after a pair of the Acorn Stow boots or Burton shoe…. need to decide.
My Trickers. Any other fans?
and the acorn boots.

Alright, let's get some info up here. Please let me know if you guys have anything to add/correct/adjust here.
Good on-line retailers:
http://www.pediwear.co.uk (standard designs please a few customs)
https://www.shoehealer.co.uk (standard designs, mto)
http://www.thebureaubelfast.com (standard designs plus a lot of customs)
http://www.leathersoulhawaii.com (standard designs please a few customs, mto)
http://www.herringshoes.co.uk (standard designs)
http://www.my-wardrobe.comAll of them help with sizing questions but I've found Shoe Healer to always be correct.
Their widths are 5 (standard, close to a D) and 6 (e-ish). Some (IE Stow) only come in a single width (5) unless you go MTO.
Sizing: My experience has been to go a half size down. Note the thickest socks I wear are athletic socks. I'm a US 9.5 (UK 9), I wear the Stow in UK 8.5. Nice wiggle room in the toes while maintaing a good fit. The Country Collection were generally sized to be worn with thick socks.
I don't want to post images but go to those sites and you'll see all of their models.
The Stow is generally considered The Brogue Boot. The Malton is basically the same save the shade and the fact that the leather is thicker.
I do not have experience outside of the Country Collection.
They'll do pretty much anything with MTOs. Run about 385 pounds. Search around and you'll find some very cool stuff.

I've been emailing back & forth with Richard from The Shoe Healer (who has been very helpful btw) regarding the sizing of the Stow boot. Brannock devices put me at a US 11C, my only proper dress shoes, a pair of Florsheim Kenmoors, are a US 11D, and my Clarks DBs are a US 10.5. Richard says could wear a 9.5 or 10, fitting 5, depending. Anyone here have advice that might sway me one way or the other? Thanks!

10 UK it is. I think not having anywhere in Chicago to try these on is causing me to waffle even more than usual. Thanks for the advice.

I went for the boots…. and I love them!
