WESCO

Thanks! They’ve been breaking in nicely. They were a bit tough on the widest part of my foot for a while but have really mellowed out. Here’s some photos after a few months of wear. I try to get them on my feet at least once or twice a week.

My Axebreakers arrived Thursday. All I can say is wow! They fit like a glove right out of the box. Snug in all the right spots. The problem with Wescos is that I'm always thinking about what I'll get next.
@brobles Your pair looks good with some wear. Between you, me, and a friend in my town that makes three pairs in AZ. Badass!

Yeah I just pre-ordered my 3rd pair of Wescos (the FP6es discussed here: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=12675.0)
Knowing your size in Wescos is more dangerous than deciding to fight a grizzly bear with a small plastic spoon. I love the versality, the quality, and the comfort.
And wolfie: that leather is amazeballs.

Well, I'm ready for my third pair of Wescos now. This time in the Boss flavor. What are everyone's favorite black leathers? I love the horsehide but I'm not sure I want them to go brown as they scuff… So stock black or black tie domain?

I like the Boss build @ Seawolf. Very nice.

@steelworker Thanks! I love those boots. It's the stock 10 inch Morrison with the western toe and whatever the western last is. I got fitted by Chris last time I was in Portland and fell in love with the Morrison as soon as I saw it. They were quite snug for the first couple weeks but at this point they're feeling pretty good.
My buddy has the stock black Boss boots and the leather feels quite a bit more substantial than my British Tan boots. At this point I'm leaning more towards the Domain leather because I like the shine but I need to think on it for a few more days.
@Jett129 I do like roughout but for my first engineer boot I want to keep it classic. I've been thinking about a burlap roughout Hendrik down the road after I can save some more cash. Gotta collect 'em all.

Look what showed up at my house this afternoon!
Beautiful build @Palmer .Was wondering what Morrison looks like in BT. Is that the MP toe?
Stock black is heavier than BD, and I believe you can polish Bd where the stock black is oiledTruth.
The oil tanned stock black is a thick, matte seriously water resistant leather. My first pair of Boss are made in it. I specced them so I could wear good looking engineers in arctic conditions. It performs amazingly but doesn’t take a shine and is very thick and heavy.
BT domain is a dress leather. I have the brown version. Waxed, easy to shine but takes marks and scuffs well (better than chromexcel for example). Slightly lighter and more flexible.
If you want something smart and shiny then go domain. If you want badass biker then oil tanned.

And if you line the stock oil leather ::) heh heh like I did, well, you got yourself a heavy boot. Very. Heavy.

I’ve lined the pair I have on order and gave hot up a fitting in width to fit wool/two pairs of socks in [emoji23]
