IHSH-179 - "The Kanreki Shirt" 6oz Check Flannel Single Yoke Western Shirt - Red
-
I went with my standard XL because it's a bit long for me already while shoulders and chest fit nicely. Happy to note that it stretches with wear so a wash should lose me some length while any shrinkage in the rest should stretch out… really lovely shirt. Better than I anticipated.
My exact same philpsophy on this one. Haven't washed mine yet though to see how the length shrinks.

This is the first IH shirt that I upsized on (normally an XL). I went with the XXL for the ptp and shoulder measurements and have washed and machine dried once. It definitely shrunk in length, both arms and body and is now close to a perfect fit. I think one more round of washing/drying and it will be perfect!
It is an awesome shirt that feels like one of my favourite t-shirts that you just love to wear. I caught my wife wearing it today and I might just have to order another one if I can’t get this one back :D.

Washed with 60C wash plus spin cycle and it shrank a good amount. Near perfect now. Went with my usual L. Crappy Pictures but i think you'll get the idea.
Love this shirt, perfect light fabric, single yoke gives it nice casual look. Represents Giles Kanreki in a more than awesome way. Happy belated one btw

Thank you Seul, minimal shrinkage in sleeves and waist would satisfy me to the max but i think future washings will take care of that. Glad i pulled the trigger on this.

For those who have washed and dried the 179, any significant shrink in the chest, or mainly in length?
I'd love to get the sleeves a bit shorter but can't really warrant much loss in P2P size…

I have the same thoughts mate, could lose some length but not so much width.
-
Thanks UnTucked - mine already is a bit snug over thick tshirts so I may cold wash and hang dry to see if I get any shrink out of length and then machine dry if not much happens.
I just hate to lose any of the color of this beauty. While I feel it will look smashing a little washed out, I have a pension for vibrant coloring and this defiantly fits that bill.

Please enlighten me, how exactly is this shirt improving your performance in brewing the black gold?

^ the lightweight fabric allows for maximum mobility when it comes to pouring hot water over the top of a 4 cup chemex [emoji12]
Also, the flannel material provided adequate insulation from boiling water spills and keeps you cozy while enjoying said cup of joe.

@Appfaff I hand washed mine in cold water and machine dried it on medium heat and it shrank .75" in the length, no shrinkage at all in the chest and shoulders. I measured pre and post. Came out perfectly for me as I couldn't afford any shrink at all really in the shoulders and chest.

Just the words I wanted to hear.
Heading into the washer with mine now lol [emoji23]

Mine is in the dryer now. I will put together a size chart similar to the one Giles and Alex did for the XL for my XXL.
I will post pre-wash / post wash+ dry/ and Post Warm Iron sizing here in about an hour when the delicate dry is through
EDIT: just saw Giles comment about the pre-wash chart. Whoops!
