The road to Kanreki
-
3 hours to my flight.
-
See you on the other side dude
-
Rather you than me @louisbosco.
Have a safe flight.
I'm currently planning The Road From Kanreki. My current itinerary is:
-
Visit friends in Bournemouth on Sunday night.
-
Up to London on Monday and Tuesday.
-
Back to my father's house on Tuesday.
-
Fly to Amsterdam Schiphol on Thursday.
-
Flight back to Melbourne the following Monday.
I'm just trying to figure out where to stay. Just missed out on a good deal in Amsterdam. There's a place in The Hague that's tempting, and a cheap one in Delft.

-
Off we go!

-
BOOM! Touchdown.
-
My physical journey to the Kanreki party is definitely the shortest
But the mental and emotional journey, probably the longest…!
Let's get this party started!

Last night the pilot's strike looked imminent. They had a midnight deadline to reach an agreement. At 2330 I had about 20 browsers tabs open and it was a toss up between 18 hours on a train and a late plane to Stanstead or hiring a car and driving 6 hours to eastern Sweden to get a flight to LHR via Stockholm. No news at 0100 meant I ordered the Swedish solution. At 0500 after late negotiations the strike was called off. Kanreki win.

Eeeek! Are you able to go back to plan A? However you get here, we're so looking forward to seeing you!

Nearly there Mrs P. Hold on, be strong! It's going to be great!
The late resolution of the strike means lots of disruption and cancellations today, but tomorrow is going to be OK. So Plan A is back on [emoji28]
