Cowboy boots

looks like they have the typical chain stores. of which, i like Boot Barn cause they still carry a few made in US brands (including denim ie Roundhouse), and Obenaufs as well as Beck4.

I would check out David Espinoza

Now that you live in San Antonio, Mike, you really should make a trip to Little's Boot Company. They have a really impressive showroom filled with custom pairs they've done over the years. It's kinda overwhelming, actually.
and they are GREAT people

Had to take my Luchesse's in for repair. Ungh!!! 6-10 weeks.
Shipped today! Should have em next week !

I have about 9 - 12 pairs of boots, I'll put up a picture soon. 3 are Luchesse, others are usual brands, mostly which I can wear going through TSA precheck without taking them off.

Good maxim…..
Spoken like someone who experienced this as many times if not more than I have
This pair comes from Heritage Boots, http://heritageboot.com/ and is this one specifically:
http://heritageboot.com/style/heritage-men/cognac-caiman-boot/
Originally I had planned on this one:
http://heritageboot.com/style/heritage-men/blood-simple-2/
But they didn't have my size.
Another contender was this pair:
http://heritageboot.com/style/heritage-men/the-triad-boot/
But alas no size either, at least not for now. They do have me on the list to contact when they make more of them in my size

Interesting stitch pattern. It's unusual to see one that's asymmetrical. I'd like to see more of it, if you don't mind sharing.

@4c:
Wow, excellent choice.
Thanks! It was a bit of a gamble as there are so many makers out there

Sure! Would be curious to hear your thoughts on this, your posts in this thread have been very informative to me
Here are more pics, do let me know if you need one taken from specific angle or position

Very nice boots - I like the hybrid toe - nice balance between round / snip and square

Thanks for that recommendation, I had the chance to visit his shop and will be getting a pair from him on my next trip to the US. We found the last that suits my feet best.

I was wondering what that toe was, as it didn't seem to fit any of the toes of the boots I saw at boot barns. It's called a french toe apparently.
And this company seems to be making something similar:
http://www.caboots.com/toe_options.phpWhile we're on it, anybody has any experience with Champion Attitude Boot Co -CABOOTS?
They certainly seem to have an impressive selection -

They certainly seem to have an impressive selectionOverall, their boots are pretty good quality for the price. I have a few pairs from them. I'm hesitant to recommend them, however, since the last couple of times I ordered, a few things went wrong. They were very reasonable about fixing things, but the experience soured me a bit on them. That said, it's been over five years since my last purchase, so they may have ironed out the kinks in their QC by now.
Thanks for the extra pictures, by the way.

Thanks for sharing your experience
I am thinking I need to find a way to include a visit to Texas next time I get sent to the US, it would be so much fun!
