IH-9301

@tfar:
As Haraki-san says it is important to soak them at least a couple of times because the thread won't stand up to the friction of the heavy material.
I thought this was only necessary for the unsanforized jeans.

Haraki's advice above was for the 643SR which are unsanforised.
TWHR01 are sanforised but not washed - they need to be soaked too to get the rest of shrinkgage out of them - there is still some
The rest of the "standard" range of IH jeans are sanforised and have been gently (you'd hardly know) soaked to get them to size...G

Bumped from the grave here!
Anyone else rocking the 9301's? Were these a SE exclusive model or were they available elsewhere? I should really just post in the WTB thread about a pair of w31/32's!

Also, these will now be discontinued and taken over by the new Black fade to Grey SE denim of the IH-7301…

Belgium, I need "dress" pants
Lando, gotcha on the discontinued nature of this line. I'm definitely into these though, a chap is selling a pair with a w31. I'm a 32 wasit usually, but with the holiday season etc coming up i'm not sure I can brave sizing down one.
–ninja edit
dress pants is a joke btw

I thought you were selling all your cloths for a moped ?
It was his first motorcycle, and I thought so as well… ??? Let me guess, you got them to go with the new bike?
-
@simon626:
Bike got sold before i could buy Call it a cruel twist of fate…
BUT I do currently have a new possession....
Canon 5D Mark 2 Slr
I've spent $400 easily on this camera this month....My dad gave it to me as a present without any accessories (which are quite necessary) so i've had to buy stuff on my own. I'm discovering photography can be quite the expensive hobbie

Never ever give up on your dream of motorcycle, you'll regret later if you do. -
ACK! Ya killed em! Bring back mah 9301s man!

I picked up a pair of 9301's off sufu. Really like them, the superblack denim really has such a different feel than my 634SR's. The black has a much softer hand. About this denim, a bit of a newbie question:
I understand the point/purpose of avoiding washing one's indigo or overdye jeans, but with the superblacks, is there any point it keeping these away from the wash? Of course there's no need to wash them every time they're worn, but is there any benefit at all to keeping these out of the wash?

just reading old posts on super black and noticed this was never answered.
the only reason i can think of is keeping the combs and stacks.

If I recall right, there has been some trouble with machine washing the Suberblack Shirt, as some grey marks may appear (Although they disappeared with time). I wouldn't machine wash them, but I treat all my denim this way.
-
Yea, the SB denim is sort of strange. I think Hap over at Sufu has had his 9301's turn brown over the years. Not sure if that's normal, but it's certainly rearranges my expectations.
Washing should be done gently, IMO. I've washed my SB denim every which way possible and I don't think it's possible to permanently ruin them in the laundry. Now, temporarily discolor…maybe a little bit. :-\

I gave my 9301's a wash when I got them, got them off Sufu BNWT, did look new/unworn but seemed to have a fair bit of hair and stuff on them, just felt better with a proper wash. Inside out, cold to lukewarm, air dry, no problems whatsoever.
Loving them so far but I try to commit most of my time to my 634sr's, they're so damn stubborn and I know I'll never break the superblack anyway.
