WAKE UP AND COFFEE
-
I think a really hefty diner mug would be a better fit for Iron Heart. There was an article that I read not long ago about a scientist who studies the influence that packaging or appearance can have on our enjoyment of food. It mentioned a study that showed people thought the flavor of coffee was better, stronger, and more robust out of a white mug vs. a clear glass one.

That's really interesting, but the perception effect probably explains why people insist drinking coffee out of their favorite mugs. I've witnessed household and workplace meltdowns over mug misappropriation.
The "diner mug" has definite nostalgic appeal for me. Growing up on suburban Long Island (NY), I spent a lot of time at diners. Breakfast with the family, late night with friends (especially after over-indulging at the bar), or anytime you were with a group who couldn't decide on what to eat. Regardless of the specific diner, the "diner mug" was a constant.

Expos mug from the 70's. A giveaway from when they played at Jarry Park. My folks got it at a game when they were still dating

@deanclean Great Expos mug. Never made it to Jarry Park. Did see a Stanley Cup Hockey game at the Forum.
-
@twin The Forum was on my list but never made it there. I live near Toronto. I wish I could get to Montreal more often. Amazing city.
-
@deanclean Did you see a hockey game at Maple Leaf Gardens. I was at a Leafs game the last year they played at MLG. Was in the Gold seats down front. Four rows from the ice.
-
@twin I was lucky enough to go to the Gardens a bunch of times. My dads second cousin is Scott Stevens so we got tickets whenever his teams came to Toronto. First time i ever smelled dope was in the bathroom there. I remember asking my dad "whats that smell"?

Might sound strange, but every morning I make fresh coffee then chuck it in a blender with coconut oil, organic butter, honey, cinnamon and some
Great Lakes collagen.
Sorts me out for the day!
