+1 for the larger size. Great cop. I️ this jacket. More pics and I just might cave.

See the black has disappeared. Good, I'm broke at the moment, avoids the inevitable will I /won't I anxiety and my IH peacoat serves me well. Next year though… next year...

@thomas01:
What are you think? Sleeves are a bit on the long side..
To me the larger one is better. Allows layering still looks sharp. The sleeves is not an issue. They will crease over time and should get a bit shorter. When over a heavy jacket, they will go up a bit as well. It's a matter of personal preferences but I love this exact length for my jackets and even shirts. I'm in love with my two recent shirts, one of them I posted.

Therefore I ordered one Size smaller also..
It is a bit tight in the arms..

Thomas,
Just wondering what height / chest you are to be wavering inbetween the M & L -
Thomas I would go for the smaller one personally.
Sleeves on the large are way too long. -

Sleeves on the large are way too long.Lots of this. Especially if you aren't planning on layering much.

Thomas,
Just wondering what height / chest you are to be wavering inbetween the M & LI'm 6'1" with a 40 chest. It's a difficult decision..
Or, you decide for the vest (IHV-22) .. and the sleeve problems are over.
But - it could be a bit frosty in the next months. -
Thomas, i would go for a size over. it is a winter deck jacket. i am in Norway, i was in the situation with a bit too shorter deck jacket and i was freezing all the time around the hips. not so fun…
the deck has not lined waistband... difference for ex with the J-36 & J-37.
a too short typeIII in summer time can be ok but a too short winter jacket in winter...your decision man -
