copped a new pair of shoes today since my other pair (Nordica Hell & Back H3) are a tad too snug (size 27/27.5)!
Dalbello Panterra 90 (size 28/28.5)
-
It took all my willpower not to buy this and the black pants to go with it
Nice garment, though I could do without the leather patch.
-
@finn666 you are gonna love the Panterra I use the 120. They are so sick.
-
Do I need a GoPro? Been contemplating getting one for the Whistler trip.

Picked up this middle layer and a killer shell and pants today for a song. We have a great outlet mall that includes an Arc'Teryx.
Get a camera of some sort for sure. I wish I had one zip lining in Kauai.
-
I use an Under Armour 4.0 base a t shirt and either an Arcteryx shell or Flylow shell and I am good up the about 0 degrees. UA 4.0 is unreal for warmth.
-
Yeah, that mid is dope, it's soft, trim, doesn't bind, and yes is warm. When you put a shell over it you're talking serious warmth, and I say that as a down snob. Also have the whiteline sabre pant, which is also really nice, well articulated, comfy, dry, warm. If I get into some obnoxious sub zero temps I have down options that should do well under it too.
It wasn't too cold until the afternoon, then cold and windy/snowy. I had an Adidas base, a Nike fleece shirt my work gave me, then the Atom LT mid and the Rush shell. Shell pants over mid weight long johns. Depending upon how I zipped those layers and deployed the shell hood, an extremely wide range of temperatures can be endured. Avalanche reflectors in all shell layers too.
I ran into a couple of Arc'Teryx reps from the very store I scored all my gear on the hill. Dude was like "nice jacket" and then said he ran an outlet and that I should drop by. I was like "ha I did just that yesterday and your staff is outstanding." Some very kind folks up here. D there is also an Under Armour outlet as well as Oakley, Mountain Hard Wear, and others there.
14 lifts and almost 17k feet on a cracked rib yesterday at Breck. A deeply satisfying day on very mixed terrain and conditions. Next week: a long weekend in Keystone / Breck / A Basin. Probably putting another 40k feet in I hope.

@tmg:
Every time I see a video of Japanese powder I'm amazed at how deep and accessible it is, really need to get serious about a trip over there
Couldn't agree more
… there is always a plan about a trip to Japan.
