I've been playing it the last few days and really digging it. Lots of player customisation options, a loot system similiar to Destiny. Some of the best maps I've seen in the series so far. The exo suits (double jumping thing) is different and takes a bit to get used to, but it works.
If you are a fan of previous titles, this is definately worth a look. I've just been playing the multiplayer so far, but apparentely the campaign is pretty cool as well.

Assassins creed has always disappoints, I had really high hopes for all of them but I've been let done since every mission is essentially the same. The stock assassination killing thing is cool but gets old quick.
I have no clue if I'm getting older so I don't like games as much as I used to, and I like older games subconsciously just from nostalgia, or if games really are getting worse.
Like I said before, I'll always have a soft spot for stuff like re4, Mario kart, and smash bros melee

Gaming isn't over, there's just too many titles with no soul out lately. Look to games like firewatch, the witness, etc to solve these issues.
I too have given multiple assassin's Creed games a shot but not finished any of them. They are usually ok but never great and I'm not willing to devote time to playing anything less than great games.

I picked up a Google Cardboard, an excellent, fun, proof of concept.
Here are a few third party apps which can be used with it:
SwivelGun - a log flume style simple shooter, one of the best ones for getting a sense of immersion
VR Cinema - I watched Snowpiercer with this, it renders the smartphone screen as a larger monitor experience
Glitcher VR - applies renders/filters to camera view
KolorEyes - 360 degree shot videos from different activities
Debris Defrag - simple space based immersion
Oculus Rift is the obvious upgrade here but there are pro options too, check out sensics.com
BTW, if you get one, apply some tape to the nose area otherwise the cardboard will pick up skin oils.

I knew nothing about this ^, sounds mental, I might pick one up.

UNITY looks great though. Watching my brother play at the mo, but gonna start by myself tomorrow… Never played any AC game before so I'll probably like it (better)...
No way man, embargo was insanely crappy of them. Total cash grab, full priced game with micro transactions totaling $99+, buggy mess, mediocre story… I'll not even consider playing another AC, especially if they keep trying to pump out bologna like this year after year.
My sincere apologies if any of you actually like bologna.

Picked up Farcry and GTA today, didn't know what to play first. Played Farcry for a bit then put GTA on… What a game!
