Ande Whall

I've always liked Ande's wing arcs and his patch design. Banana lined pockets and pocket bags are cool, too.
I know it looks like a banana Chris but it's actually paisley!
-
Argh! Damn Swype and its autocorrect!
Banana lining would be messy, wouldn't it?

@Maynard:
SR8 is out!
13oz summer jean with dirty weft, blue arcs and lined back and coin pockets. I don't need them but I definitely want them!Couldn't resist the paisley print, just ordered a pair
Until I saw this post at the weekend I'd never heard of this guy, but after checking out his website and learning that he makes all the jeans by hand, I have to say I was pretty impressed! This will be my lightest pair of jeans, but I'm keen to try something different after an exclusive IH diet these last few years, and the craftsmanship and attention to detail on these should bear favourable comparison. But still, paisley print and bandana linings in the pockets pretty much sold me on these

Good on you tmg, please report back with your findings!

SR9 is out and it looks amazing … Looks like I'm gonna take the ande whall plunge

Do it and then give us your post-purchase analysis!

Anyone from the US that has bought from Ande… Did you get hit for import duties?
-
Ordered twice and never hit with fees.

Last question would be….
Since putting on a bit of weight the best fitting pair I have is my size 32 s710xx. Seems like according to size charts these sit in between the caribou and mustang so I thought about sizing down 2 on the caribou as this would put me right at the measure mats of my s710xx for the most part with the exception of the waist which I would think would stretch but again am entertaining others opinions -
I have the SR7s in Buffalo cut, size 31, which probably measured around 33" raw and shrunk to 32" after an initial 40C machine wash. My natural waist is about 33" and the jeans are currently at 33.5" after a month of wear but could stretch more if required. I usually wear a size 32 in jeans and at a push could have sized down to a 30 in these. Hope that helps.

Fellow denim fans, looks like Ande is on the brink of going out of business right now, things have been going a bit slow for him. Don't let this potential tragedy happen. He's having a sale on all black jeans right now - just $200! Please have a look at his site and if you're thinking about buying jeans or a denim jacket at the moment, then consider Ande's great products.

MF, I know you're just an enthusiast, but for some reason your posts about ande seem like a brand reps.
I hope everything turns out ok for him!

Ben, I know I come across a little evangelical at times but I like his products and also realise the effort he went through to rebuild his business from scratch after the earthquake. I'd hate to see a small, talented craftsman go under as I like to support these folk. I own and have owned jeans from a lot of the big Japanese brands too and I honestly prefer the 3 pairs of Ande's that I have. I'll shut up now!
Actually, maybe my sales patter isn't so bad, I may consider a career change…

What was your conclusion Giles!?

No worries just thought I'd mention it! That is an impressive feat. For some reason I'm not drawn to Andes products, but hopefully I'm in the minority.
