Just purchased the denim Prairie Shirt (16.5") and indigo corduroy El Americano waistcoat (42"). I'm unsure if to do an initial cold soak on the Prairie Shirt as I'm contemplating wearing it raw and straight out of the box.
Has anyone on the board experience of this particular shirt? Just wondering what's best in the long run.

I'd love to see a fitpic of the indigo cord jacket (and give that shirt a soak) …

So happy for you man, from despair to delight in days.
On mine, like Christophe I did add a tighter hole to the angle straps to snug up the fit in that region of the boot.

Many thanks. Haven't the jacket but will post a pic of the waistcoat in due course.

Must have misread that, a pic of the waistcoat is welcome as well

Snowy those boots look spectacular! Keep the pics coming!

Cheers mate (on both counts). I've added a tighter hole after following your lead, it has dropped the minimal heal-slip to almost non-existant. They're already more comfortable than the RW's I wore for a good 3 months before deciding they didn't fit. Now if I can just get more foot-time in

Jordan remembered that I was looking for some RCs and eMailed me - I wasn't sure if a 12 would would work for me, but she got one in and let me try it… it works! Here are some pics, but sorry, they look all like all the other new RC pics in this thread - nothing like the beauties Tat just posted above
I have a bit of a high instep but these are very easy on, easy off - one of the things I was worried about. They are just a bit tight but not uncomfortably so - some of it could be the new/stiff leather - toes are not touching the front of the boots for sure. I also have a touch of heel slip, even with the buckle on the tightest hole (I've seen some comments that making a new hole and puling it even tighter helps with that?). Based on this sizing, I'm sure I'd be swimming in a 13 (which they are reportedly building a last for in the future) - may have been able to do a 12.5 (which there are no plans for) with thick socks, but I think the heel slip would be even worse. Only time will tell if I have precisely the right fit, but I feel pretty good about it.
I'm very impressed with the boots overall - they are gorgeous, well-crafted, love the dark brown color and weight. Longer term I'll want a rubber half sole to withstand wet weather and for better traction. Big props to Jordan at MF - for following up - and for patiently going back and forth measuring everything for me. Great service, great product (but you all know that...).

It never gets old looking at pics of Road Champs. Just curious. What other boots do you have. I'm an 11 in Viberg & RW moc toe, but 12 in a lot of shoes. Just curious how it fits compared to other boots.

Thanks for the backstory Bluegrass, that's some amazing follow up on Jordan's behalf.
Interesting to hear you have no dramas with the instep where as it's giving me grief (well within realm of acceptable).
A 4th hole has reduced heel slip to almost non-existant for me. I believe in a few weeks when they soften a bit there will be no heel slip at all.

i'm thinking about having my instep strap lowered to a more traditional position… though it makes me nervous to have this surgery performed.

Meh… I've steady fine modifications to them I'd rather just make them mine. I think I'm gonna talk to willies about it. I know it's not something that isn't unfathomable and have seen it done before... If not comfortable I will talk to takeshi or brass about it. It's cool if Christophe wants em that way but I'd like the lock down to be about an inch down where it belongs to lock the foot in properly instead of the ankle. Let's wait and see what the professionals have to say though before I make my decision.
It's not that they don't work it's that IMO the strap is not placed in the proper position to where it would be traditionally, only thing close is an old pair of knapps. But again just my 2cents

It's a weird strap placement but it's grown on me and it definitely secures the foot well with an extra hole in the strap.
