IHW-05 - 32oz Melton Wool Pea Coat

Anybody else have problems with the buttons falling off on these? I noticed 1 loose one when I got it first and 3 are gone already, thankfully I saved them from getting lost, but now all the buttons except one are only barely hanging on. I'm not the best at sewing, otherwise I'd take them all off and start again.
I'd been taking it easy to avoid losing them on the street, but it's only a matter of time until I loose one.
thanks
Yeah I had this same problem with a couple, although they're only slightly loose, none have fallen off. I think it's because the spacing between the button and the fabric is much less than the thickness of the fabric, so it's being pulled out every time you wear it

Ok, will do, thanks

I have one that is pretty loose, but the others are holding strong!

When I get home I am going to measure an old jacket and compare with the sizing table. But still, I like to hear what those who alreday have this peacoat think. I am 5,7 (175 cm) tall and have a 38" chest. Should I go for small og medium? I like a fitted/slim look, but I need room for a thick sweater. Any recommendations?

here you go:
This jacket means business, thing is truly next level! The craftsmanship is just unreal, but would you expect anything less. I sure as shit did not and was certainly not let down. I could say something along the lines of I'll get better shots up here soon but I think we all know how that would turn out. So I will leave it with this, I love this jacket, and am extremely glad I purchased one. If your considering it, take the plunge, you will thank Lulu 20 years from now when it's still your favorite winter jacket.
This baby just came in the mail for me and to be completely honest i did not think that it was going to blow me away as it did. It really is unreal. I feel like this jacket is going to stand the test of time and not only pass with flying colors, but also finish a bottle of liquor, go home, make a baby, and have enough time to come back and correct that test. Photos to come when i have a little more time likely later this week. Oh man, this is one purchase i will never regret!!!! :-
I too have just picked this baby up and am very happy indeed.
Size wise,I wear XL in everything IH and went with the same for the Pea Coat.As Giles says, the sizing is a touch more relaxed than usual,so there's room for a layer….If i was looking for a more vintage fit,i probably could have even sized down to an L,but the shoulders are spot on and I'm very happy that i can fit a decent sweater underneath...it's a winter coat after all.
I've had a few peacoats and this one is very special indeed...i was looking for a new coat as my vintage one was getting a hammering and it's 53 years old now!! the search is officially over.
This one is exactly what i was looking for. -
Thanks for the info guys. The peacoat looks great on you Joule! I ordered it in small and I am really looking forward to try it on and wear it. Can't wait for winter to come now…
