I want more mod interaction!!!! Maybe the most unpopular opinion around. I long for the days when threads were guided by Beatle and Landon.

This is something the mod team should discuss. In the beginning, the mod team was used to steer the course of a thread
As time went on, life caught up with us. Additionally, being a mod is WORK, and sometimes dealing with personalities over the internet can grind away at your patience. Largely, this is why I am not much of a presence on this forum unless a hammer needs to come down
But you have an excellent point and I would like the mod team to start moving in that direction again

Appreciated!!! This will help significantly!

D666 I'm sure it is not particularly unpopular, but if you knew the reasons, and by that I mean a balanced reasoned view (not one sided), then you would understand why they are no longer moderators And as I have never spoken publicly or given my side of the story, then your view, per force, has to be completely biased and one sided…..

MORE mod interaction.
slow down killer, see i said you were the sensitive type, hahahahaha

I know and understand why they are no longer mods. Nothing personal just business!!!! They were just an example. I want the current mods more active. I know how much time this can take up and how much energy needs to go into it. I just feel if mods aren't around can't/don't contribute. Things will move in the wrongs direction. We can't change the past but, the future will be fun. I just want the mods to be part of that leading by example.

Well, we probably needs more mods then. As Doug alluded to above, modding is work and actually bloody hard work, and it is at times emotionally draining. Personally I am on the forum for 3 or 4 hours per day almost every day, even when I am on holiday. Now this of course is my business and I have made that particular rod for my own back, but me dishing out Mod status is actually something of a poisoned chalice….

You do whatcha gotta do. Please make good choices haha!

you should have open nominations like an elected official, on second thought maybe that wouldn't be a good idea if the nuited states is any indication of what could happen.
okay i got to get to work

Funny thing with me is…my niche is how poorly I connect with the members
Your selling yourself short your assholeness is what I love about you.

And just so you understand that I do understand, one of the things that I obsess about is how I get a more diverse modding team. I am not dissing any of our mods past or present, but I am all to well aware that it all too easy for me to fall into the trap of choosing people I feel comfortable with…......

I get it, it's a shitty job but something you gotta do. My sure will make the correct decision.

The bitch is back!.. Fuck yeah!..
Rant on, Gav, rant on!..
You're kidding right. I think I burned enough bridges in the last week to leave me swimming home.
My final unpopular opinion is a simple one, can somebody please flick the switch labelled fun again? I do so miss it when it isn't around.
And to back my friend Jeff, the mod involvement needs to come in the form of interacting on the forum every day in very general conversation. The mods need to be people who carry a little respect and can influence and involve themselves in debate, they need character, intelligence and the ability to debate in a reasoned manner.
Final, final unpopular opinion - Our mods have all that, we just don't see enough of them.
