I've had a few customers come along to the workshop to buy a pair of jeans accompanied by friends who have absolutely no interest in raw denim. One recently looked at the rail and said they all looked the same to him.
We are slowly building up a small collection of well worn jeans to show how a collection of raw denim is far from homogenous. This pair of PBJ x005 just sent to me from california is now a permanent exhibit at the workshop to show the great evolution of a pair of jeans over several years. They look great hung up and a nice piece of denim for the rest of us to drool over. -
Hey Danny, will be in London on 30th/31st this month, is there a point over that weekend that the show room will be open? Cheers!
-
Nice article Danny and a great picture of the host with the most!
Never owned any FH denim but have a number of shirts. Wondering what the closest comparable fit to the 666 IH fit is? Would like to give some Flat Head selvedge a swirl….

I'd say the 3002 (full stock arriving imminently) or the K0011. The 3002 has more taper than the K0011 but both are slim fits like the 666. The 3001 similar to both in the top block but more slim/straight with a wider leg opening.
Are you local? If so you're welcome to visit otherwise send me a pm or email and I'll help you with sizing. Thanks. -
Thanks Danny.
Not local. Across the water on the far side of the Irish Sea! Will do a bit of research on those models (part of the fun!) and drop you a mail if I have any questions. My 666s are a great fit (30 waist) which reminds me I should post some photos soon.

We have just added 2 wallets and a wallet chain to our collection of goods from Obbi Good Label
The OGL Bave mid wallets in Horween CXL are tapered to fit into a back pocket so that the edge does not rip the denim.
It also makes it more comfortable to carry when seated. They are designed so that with wear the edges will close like a clam shell. They come in the beautiful Horween CXL pull up leathers in either burgundy or blue cavalier.
The wallets are crafted by the master craftsmen at Obbi Good Label.
The design itself is inspired by the ancient silver taels, a Far-Eastern weight used in trade for measurements and currency exchange.Horween pull up leather is naturally stretchy so Veg-tanned leather is used for the card and money slots. They measure 5.5" x 3.8".

The Condor Short Wallet is a classic Obbi Good Label design. They come in Black & London Tan.
The snap is inspired by the eagle's feather itself as in Native American culture the Condor symbolises the month of April when this leather brand launched onto the leather goods scene back in 2007.
The veg-tanned leathers are extremely durable; known for their ageing properties they will develop an appealing patina with use. Oiling or greasing the from time to time will darken the leather.

When we introduced The Flat Head 3002 in April only a few sizes were available. A new run of these has just been completed in Okayama and we now have all sizes 29w-38w in stock. This is a slim tapered fit made with the trademark Pioneer Series selvedge denim.

Couldn't resist any longer…just put in my order for the FH 3002 jean. Looking forward to these - measurements look great.
Just bought those myself. They are awesome! Very similar to the tapered leg Self Edge collab with Flat Head. I have both and don't find it redundant because the 3002 has the flat head pocket design which I really dig.
Enjoy!

Really happy to introduce UES from Japan with their heavy selvedge flannels custom woven on shuttle looms in Okayama.
I have been talking to owner and designer Chuji Matsumoto for almost a year and helped him develop some larger sizes for the western customer. The fabrics are brushed on the inside making them warm and comfortable to wear. This brand has a zen like balance of excellent craftsmanship and timeless designs.Red/Navy Check Flannel

Presenting a new shirt from Real Japan Blues, sister company of The Flat Head.
This Shadow Diamond western shirt is 65% cotton and 35% rayon. The fabric is selvedge and, as always, custom made. It has slightly larger proportions than their usual shirts which could make it a deal breaker for some customers.http://rivetandhide.com/brands/rjb/real-japan-blues-diamond-ombrer-shirt.html
We have also received these border socks from The Flat Head. Made of New Zealand merino wool.
In Red, Blue, or green. For shoe sizes 7-11http://rivetandhide.com/brands/the-flat-head/tfh-merino-wool-border-socks.html

might jump on those UES shirts, fabric looks great & the cut looks like it would really work for me.
random but that RealJapanBlues shirt reminds me of the IHSH 18 fabric, kind of sort of . . . .

He is 175cm and 70 kg. He usually models a size 40 in the shirts
