Seriously: weird stuff G… Just glad (and hope) everything's fine...
Went to a hip hop party yesterday in my fav city (Ghent)... I stayed sober cause my bro was drinking and so were his mates (always gotta have one member ready...).
-
Ghent has SUCH a positive atmosphere... Such a relieve from the marginal coked up aggressive bullshit in my city...

Ran into a mate I've known for 15 years, and spent the whole evening with him... Dude is sweeter than choc mousse...
-
Cans of bacardi-cola are your friend... Had three cans of b-c and one can of Red Bull 11-6 am and was on my toes the whole time... Good stuff...
-
No matter how much I'm close to the hip hop and scratch/ turntable scene here, it's not my music at all... Just can not relate to it... Always wondering how white kids can (no dis @ anyone or anything)...

Fistbumps and kisses in the pit = ultimate scene love...

She is now safe and sound and in a car with my brother being driven down to Sussex. The Police had to get involved and my brother was told never to let her back in Birmingham for her own safety…
damn…are the citizens of birmingham really that fucked!? (no offense to all the "normal" people living there!)

Giles doesn't have the accent though, my cousins wife is a Brummy…we call her the "slow talker".

I just re-purchased my favourite ever waterproof shell, the Wtaps Parasmock. I had one years ago in green, but always lusted after the black, and I finally just got a 2001 model for cheap. These things are amazing, tough as nails, great details, real old style Japanese street wear. I'm a very happy man

Nice pick up. Love all my wtaps gear

They're the only brand from that era that I still regret moving on from. I'm too old for Bape, and Supreme seem to have lost their way in terms of quality and identity (Lady Gaga, WTF?!?), but that old Wtaps mil spec gear was superb. The toughness and the detailing kinda reminds me of IH, but the newer Wtaps stuff is mainly shit in my opinion.

All the kiddies everywhere love Supreme, which is kinda the problem. I was told that I was too old to wear it when I was 30, by someone eminently unaware that the guy who designs and owns the brand is 5 years older than me.
They used to be a great label for skaters, now they're a successful label for posers, hipsters and wannabe's. Their old stuff is still really cool though.

I still wear Supreme and I am 31 but it's mostly old or a few pieces which have minimum branding on them. No hype pieces for me. That's what all the kids like, box logo and fucking 5 panel caps.
Wtaps is by far the best in turns of quality in the street wear scene. IMO -
Some of them you wouldn't though G, specifically the newer stuff. Brand focus appears to have changed towards the hype that the young dudes like, great for short term business, bad for credibility.
SFD, totally agree about Wtaps. The Parasmock, the Sherpa and their old M65's were absolutely top class. I saw that the last Parasmock was leopard print, which made me a little sad.
