IHD-01 - Special G Denim Version
-
ive got the OD, and it is my go to on cold days for my outer layer. love the hand pockets. was just hoping to grab up one of the 76's for a indigo version but it aint gonna work and with the prices on these i cant paass it up but just not sure about the sizing on the indigo IHD-01
Haha, sounds like if it weren't for the sizing tags, our closets would be close to indistinguishable from one another. I regret not snapping up the last XXXL indigo IHD when it wen't on sale. Good luck on sizing a large; IIRC, the indigo fits a little smaller than the od, due to it being raw and shrinking a bit.

i think the sizing table is missing from the IHD-01 and the IHD-01od. THinking about grabbing one of the 01's to satisfy my hunger for the 76
Fixed…...

Just got my IHD-01od in the mail. It was from ebay, but it's hardly used and looks killer. I went for large (it's my first IH top) and it's pretty tight. No way I could squeeze another shirt under it (other than an undershirt). Should I start looking around to trade for an XL? Or does it break in a bit after wearing it? Too bad, because it's absolutely awesome.
-
^^ I have an XL I'd gladly swap!
-
Glad it made it over there. And it looks like it fits perfect. Looking forward to mine
-
Indeed. Perfect for upcoming spring (if it comes at all). Can't wait to wear it in a fitting size.

My XL arrived today (thanks wunnaz!). Sorry for the horrible iPhone pic but I'm pretty damn excited about this shirt. Here it is over my 21:

imo it looks a tad too big, but when worn as an overshirt it sure does the trick…would chop 1-2" off in length though.
I definitely bought it to be used more as overshirt and there is some room when I wear it with a t-shirt. As far as length goes, a couple inches off the bottom would be nice (I have a short torso and long arms so I deal with this all the time) but I don't know anyone I trust locally to chop the bottom off. Also not sure how the pockets would look then either.

veloaudio, congrats on the purchase. Wise choice, you won't regret it. I would say to leave it as is. If an overshirt is what you wanted, then mission accomplished, sir. If the length is really bothering you, I know some forum members were able to get a slight amount of shrinkage with a scalding hot wash.
-
Thanks Sean. The shirt is amazing. I was thinking about a wash to try take and take some room out. I also know wunnaz did a soak to it already. Maybe a wash and then a short spin in the dryer?

Yes, Veloaudio. i already done a hot soak but didn't wash. shrinkage was about 0.5/0.8 inches in length. The fit on u is a lot more better than on me. length might b long a bit but the arm is just nice. i needed to fold about 2/3 inches to get that fit. Now, M size is just nice for me except tight a bit in waist area because of my tummy.:(

Here is the main post I was thinking of;
@Max:
I did a 95 degree wash and am quite satisfied with the outcome. The bodylength and shoulders shrank 2 cm, the chest 3cm, the arms 1 cm. I think the fit is now close to perfect, no?
(Excuse the 6 o clock out of bed look)
Remember, the Max Power way is the right way…
My only concern with the dryer is you could get some marbling, if you aren't careful. I would do a super hot wash, hang dry, and see how it turns out. If you don't receive the desired results, you could always wash and then dry it again.

I had this fabric before (TWHR01) and I hot washed and dried the shit out of those jeans. This fabric doesn't marble like heavier fabrics. This will help with the puckering/roping, which will give you some additional shrinkage. All twills shrink, I don't care if they are sanforized or not. Sanforizing does not get all the shrinkage out (1%-5%).
