IHJ-05 (Cordura Nylon Wind Breaker)
-
Saw these beauties along with the Super Black Rider Jacket at Self Edge
The sizing is definitely larger for the IHJ-05 compared to the early windbreaker version.
I liked how the "Small" fit gave a more trim look (I wear L for early version).
The outer texture is way thicker, waterproof and this jacket will last a lifetime. Very nice! -

Yup. I have tested this out… Works like a charm! I feel like the "Teflon Don" in this this...

Once again the horribly unpredictable weather here in the By Area proved no match for the IHJ-05! Rain and Wind… HAHAHHAAHHAHAHAA

Just sold one of these to a new customer, this is what he said in the accompanying email:
"btw, i have a grey condura riding suit, high end, from aerostitch usa. last night when i was debating over black or grey, i took an old swatch of the material and put, peanut butter, olive oil, and some beet juice on it, let it set for an hour and then hosed it with some stain remover and agitated it in the sink. came out completely like new. this is good stuff for a daily jacket… "

…that's my email. I'm looking forward to the new addition. The jacket's just leaving the hub from across the pond so it'll be a week or so and I will post pics.

So is that you 7tacos?
Yeah, that's me, I'm new here…Hello.
I ordered a large in grey a few days ago. It's due tentatively here on the 5th. I'm a little concerned about sleeve length since I'm 5'11 but I take a long in a few brands so It'll probably be close enough. At 205 Lbs I think it will work with a layer. I'm in Texas and can usually get buy with a good shell and a fleece most of the winter and this design gives me a lot of room that I like.
Off the top of my head, without seeing it, the only thing I suspect that would make it better is the liner. The liner will wear out before the condura--that stuff is really tough stuff and heavy. I have a full riding suit in grey condura and that stuff is insanely tough stuff. It's hard to understand this unless you've actually felt the material. I think the IH condura would be ideal with a cotton drill or something similar that you'd get in a leather jacket.
I'm guessing I'll love it. I'm very basic and functional with what I wear so IH's line appeals to me a lot. I think this jacket's just plain tough looking and super understated. Good for a tumble or two if required.

Denton now, just outside Dallas. Before that Austin. Really love and miss Austin, it's an oasis of sorts.

pheeeeeew, missing it! i'm applying at UT's new digital repository but it's a long shot. have lot's of friends down there so i'm there often enough to soak up a good fix which helps.
at any rate, the condura's in NY so i have a few days till i can check it out.
