I'm not sure how one would include brokerage fees in the price bc just like customs, it isn't a set fee
And yes, I work for UPS. Some of you know that, some don't.
i work for ups too.. I'm a driver in PA

I'm not sure about UPS not making money on brokerage. I never get charged brokerage by anyone but UPS and I doubt that it's built into other companies fees as they'd be much higher.
Example: My IHSW-03 - I got charged $20 brokerage from UPS. My TWSH-03, delivered via Parcel Force/Canada Post - no charge.
That's all Canada, and it is hit or miss. Sometimes I get charged. Sometimes I don't. And that goes for UPS, Canada Post, etc.

I'll put this here, knowing it will be deleted, but hoping the interested parties see it first:
Canada (must be marked as gift)
Total declared value under $75, no charge.
Listed as being made in Canada, no charge.USPS/Canada post are a bit more lenient if the above are not labeled as such. UPS, on the other hand, will kindly put two Jake Steed Dildos in you, all the while giving you a broad, toothy smile.

I got charged customs/GST (fine, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose) and a brokerage fee on top of it. I've never been charged brokerage by anyone other than UPS.
I've been a hard core sneaker collector since 2007. I'm used to paying customs/GST. That brokerage charge drives me crazy.

Canada Post is a government agency, similar to USPS, which also doesn't charge brokerage fees
Even as a UPS employee, I'd recommend USPS for international if there's no hurry

Might be useful to check out the Duty and Taxes Worldwide thread. It has some good links on how to calculate duties and fees for all sorts of goods.

Actually Canada is the worst place for us to send stuff to period. Honestly, there is no other country we ship to that we have so much trouble with.
That is not blaming Canada, that is fact.
Also how does this work? I have a big shipment of Viberg Boots to go from Canada to Tokyo. It is cheaper for me to ship them to the UK, pay duties and then ship them to Japan and pay a second lot of duties than it is for me to ship them direct from Canada to Japan. Feckin madness….
