Eyeglasses / Sunglasses Discussion

Backed on the polarised glasses. Have some pairs that aren't and well, they will probs be sold…
DIOR aviators black/ black (polarised) - my fav pair
DIOR 'Black Tie' tortoise brown/ black (polarised) - maffia style (hence the mug), love these, crazy original (look at that bridge!..)
ARMANI black/ black (polarised) - boxy, but lotsa fun when wearing a slim fitting shirt and jeans
MOSLEY TRIBES brown/ brown (not polarised) - these are actually for sale
RALP LAUREN aviators tortoise brown/ gold/ brown (not polarised) - not sure whether I should keep these
-
Two pairs. Baruffaldi windini un polarized and Revo Reach Polarized. I'll get pics of both up soon.
Oh and Seul your Mafiosi pic needs a cigar

I know almost zippo about sunglasses and don't even have a pair at the moment, but I plan to purchase one for summer. Any idea what works with a narrow face?
BTW Seul, Mykita makes some really nice pairs, you should check this brand out:

Maui Jim Big Island
Serengeti Velocity
Oakley Juliet
Oakley A Wire (in black and in red iridium)I know Oakley is not commonly an approved brand with denimheads, but they can kiss my ass. I love em
I wish I could wear Wayfarer styled shades, but the bridge of my nose is too small and they keep sliding down my face
-
Doug, there is an easy Wayfarer bridge solution. There are little silicon pads you can get at the optician (most likely for free or for $2). They are about the same size as normal nose pads (how do you call these things?) on glasses are. They are self-adhesive and you just stick them to the bridge of glasses. Works great.
The other thing is that the optician should be able to fit the temples on a Wayfarer so well that they won't slip. Simon626 will know more about all that.

Chrome Hearts Beast, steep price(1500) but really completes an outfit and looks badass
-
Love the Chrome Hearts but the price is seriously nuts. I mean I wear Mikli and find those expensive but you gotta be quite a sucker for glasses (or have huge disposable income) to buy $1500 glasses that are not made of a super special material (e.g. real tortoise, sterling silver, horn) and that come from a relatively unknown brand. It's the Veblen effect where the perceived value of a good increases with a higher price. I tried some on. Really nice glasses but even for this luxury loving individual the price was too high by factor 3. And the margins on sunglasses are absolutely enormous already. Higher than on fashion usually.

Just got myself a pair of original 1980 (Clear/ Violet Iridium) Oakley Frongskins. Been wanting a pair since I lost mine as a youth. I Will be wearing them all Summer long.

You both confirmed my anxieties about these. Subsequently I have been looking at these:
