http://blueingreenso…emart&Itemid=41or check 2nd:

2nd also has pictures up. whether the lighting was different or prototype was different. the color doesn't appeal to me and the old S5000KA looked way better
the best part on these is the leather patch IMO

I don't like the color at all. As I said the older ones had a more brown color. But as you like pigs, the color might appeal to you
Where did you get your sams from?…2nd?How much would this be total in Euro (inclusive german taxes)?Thx!
I had one standard dealer for Samurai but also bought from 2nd or other shops.
But now I buy from DC4.
The price for these in Euro including tax and shipping would be…drumroll...a lot.Ok..now we do the math together:
Item price is 52,500 Yen. Shipping would be (as this is a 24oz denim) around 4000 Yen: and now + 19% VAT and 12% custom tax for cotton products. If you can show them the exact quote for the shipping, only 19% VAT will be applied on this.So the "cheapest" price would be 68775 Yen for the jeans + 4760 Yen for shipping = 73535 Yen which is roughly 730 €
You could also ask DC4 if they would special order these jeans for you if you don't want to deal with 2ND
-
or they're $725 in the us from big and you get them shipped to you as a low value gift…
that's why I posted both links. 2ND and BiG. But it's true. 725$ sound 'good' at first but you also have to pay shipping (although Gordon might skip that for you considering the price you already pay) and customs would be the same 31%
edit: but as I said. The old S5000KA was nicer in my eyes. Cooler color and nicer texture

That's the funny thing. YOU have to prove what they are worth. Gifts and small orders are fine but just to a certain value (around 50€ IIRC). Anything above that, than you would have still pay 19% VAT. If the total value of the item exceeds 150€ you have to pay the 19% VAT + the customs tax (12% for cotton products as an example). Oh..19% for the shipping costs of course too…
You know they aren't quite dumb and just because someone marked a little 'x' in the box for 'gift', doesn't mean they wouldn't investigate.
Surely not every package ends up at the custom office. The all go through a first custom check at Frankfurt airport and there will be decided if you get the package directly without any customs or if you have to pick it up at your local custom office and you have to open it in front of a custom guy and show him the correct papers.
You can luck out on customs and maybe 40% of my orders didn't end up at the local office but directly at my door.
Only once I could convince one of the custom officers it is a gift. And I really paid nothing. But only because there was a hand written note in the package and the custom guy was too lazy to google for prices I believe.Living on the countryside helps here I guess. Heard some horrible storys from fellow German denim lovers living in Munich, Hamburg or Berlin where the custom guys are really tough to deal with.

It really is. When Atzec (from Sufu and Mynudies) ordered something and he hadn't an invoice with him, the lady at the custom office googled and foung the pair on BiG and used that price.
Another member 501lover/501cult (also here but I can't recall his screen name) bought some used and trashed Nudies and the guys at the custom office in Berlin didn't believe the value he stated and claimed these jeans have to be some crazy expensive designer stuff, not 2nd hand jeans. Issue went to the court and is still not decided yet (been a year or so).

I am digging the s5000 bkxbk that BiG got in recently.

...Or you pre-order through Take5. Based on my experience from last years AI model it can go like this:
52,500¥ and no shipping (IIRC) multiplied by Take5's standard exchange rate into HK$ minus VIP rebate (20%) plus shipping from HK. Now you would only have to find a way to get this through customs…
(sometimes Take5 can not give VIP rebate on special items as they have to buy at regular rate as well.)
Last year it turned out cheaper than BIG, but I was living near HK then!

I've said this before: I am willing to accept jeans for Germans and ship to them. Customs are a LOT easier to deal with here… If there's no (price)tag or invoice, they're described as a gift with a low value, worst that could happen is they tag on a 10 € fee cause they had to examine the package... And when the custom form is filled out correctly, they only open it when it's heavy (over 2 kgs), or was shipped with an Express service (as stores always use this shipping method)... I can ship to Germany (tracked) for 5 €.
Only for Europeans and only for non-IH items, let me make that clear.
Oh and one more thing I want to clarify: I always offer free shipping and never charge anyone shipping when it involves doing a fellow IH forum member a favour, but I actually do pay 5.15 €/ package as the stamps I use cost me 20.75€ / 5.
