Thanks Lando. I would love to try a pair of RW 3145s but seeing as this pair is nowhere near the end of it's life guess I'll just keep wearing them.

These are Red Wing work boots (2156, 10D).
I need work boots that are slip-resistant, lot of ankle support, and can take both an outside lift on the right boot, and custom insoles on each, so usually higher toe box.
Factory floors, climbing up through stuff, and landscape work (the no slip soles are great for chopping wood or pulling weeds…but they also can tear up terrain if you are not careful).
Whatever these soles are, they perform no-slip head-and-tails above any other I have tried–the compromise is that they are stiff enough that a whole vigorous day can leave the boot heavy on aching feet.

Below, by comparison, is my favorite work boot to wear. Chippewa 72100, which I need in a 10W.

But the Red Wings get the tougher environments–weather, muck, and the like. The non-slip cannot be beat, as I said. The Chippewa is also non-slip but does not match the Red Wing sole. for example, here's the sole of the Chippewa.
You can see mud and gunk sealed on, but the Red Wing sole is always clean–amazing stuff. Chippewa sole more forgiving to wear, though.

Personally, I find shiny metallic Dior boots to be the best for prancing about in.
-
They're def not fit for the workfloor, I found that out quickly…
Now that would have been an amusing sight.;)
-
Yep, that's what I was picturing in my head. You tiptoeing around like a dainty little princess in your shiny Diors. It makes me laugh.:)
Nothing but love, Seul- you know that…
-
Hehehe, that only makes it funnier…

2940. 5(?) months in. Oiled once after excess in mud and seawater. Excuse the bathroom background.
