Yeah, gakugeidaigaku is right. I lived there for a short time many years ago
Yes, it's simply metal. So I might need to use one pair exclusively for riding. Might actually get the proper RW riding boots, those without laces, for that. Or the Salt Miner. I guess scratches on them fit better than on the Beckman which I think was also called the Gentleman Traveller.
I was riding my bike in flipflops, too. -
Not Salt Miner, I meant the Iron Ranger.

Hi All, I'm planning on getting a pair of Red Wing 212s and could really do with some size advice:
I normally take a US size 10, width EE if possible. If it helps, I've got some Cherokee boots in that size that fit perfectly, and I take a US size ten in normal Timberland boots. The Red Wing European site says a US10 = a UK 9, but as these are a D fitting, I was wondering if anyone had some sage adivce? Sadly, I can't find any local stores with a pair to try.
Cheers in advance!
Michael.

thanks Max! I really don't like the regular yellow/brown boot laces.

BTW Finn, if you're thinking of getting them resoled, RW/Europe does that in Netherlands. I just saw friends pair with new soles and they even send him flicks of the job.
That's worth knowing, I thought they would have to be sent back to the US to have that done.
