Sorry guys for my late reply
I must have been blind the last few weeks that I have overseen all those comments on this threadBut at least I wanna say thank you to all you guys with all those compliments.
And Finn666: Thanks a lot for your great Photo work!!!! Amazing for myself to see the first time parts of the Jeansmuseum in the net.And of course all you guys are more then welcome to check out the little Jeansmusuem. I'm sure you would love to stay in the middle of 7000 pants and 5000 denim jackets from the 50ies till now
Since my childhood, when we got 2 Levis (from the fifties) donated at the end of sixties in our poor and large 12 person family in a little Swiss alpine village, I'm completely hooked up about raw denim rags.
Since then raw denim rags are flowing through my body instead of blood
And since 1973 I have started collecting all kind of raw denim rags from second hand shops, flea markets, dump stations, internet and so on
Now the Jeansmuseum encourage all people, to use their raw denim stuff as long as possible. And when you can't use them anymore, hang them on a wall, or frame them or what ever. But just never throw them away!!!! The Jeansmuseum offers a safe place to all your beloved favorite denim items, where they can survive for ever, what they deserve for sure after a long and hard life

It's amazing!!!
If I have any worn out denim that I think should belong in the museum, I wouldn't hesitate to donate.
At the moment I keep my "Deadstock" that I can't bear to part with in my mums wardrobe but if I can ever bear to part with it I know where to go.
I'd give anything to be well enough to travel to visit one day, but I'm too fragile at the moment so I'll just enjoy the pics.

here we go ladies and gents…
this update is one month overdue...so before i left switzerland, since my work is done there, i thought i should drive to Zürich again to visit the VMC shop (some pics will follow in that thread as well!) and o/course Ruedi (swiss_jeansfreak) the chocolate eating monster :)...
since there are some changes from my first visit (see page1!), i think i´ll now let the pics do the talking...enjoy
so, this is the entry of the "old" jeansroom (check page1!)...as you can see Ruedi has already been working on moving stuff into the new room and now this one´s looking pretty "empty"
all those boxes still need to get sorted (~10.000pieces!)
since he´s also updating his website he now even has a place where he can shoot proper pics of his goods…
ok, so right beside the old one ruedi now hired a 2nd room.
the entry into raw-denim-paradise…
enjoy
there`s some crazy stuff lying around (sup MM?
)
now there´s even space for a worktable (25oz IH-denim!)
working
a tiny tiny bit of the whole collection
you know these G.?
the boxes with white stickers are already sorted
ruedi talking bout raw denim
25oz vs. 21oz
sup stubborn crew?
vintage carhartt double knee loggers
compared to a "newer" type of carhartt double knees
denim double knee loggers
they´ve changed the tag over the years
Iron Heart, Carhartt, Carhartt (top to bottom!)
Iron Heart
Hells Angels
at the end he showed me some more pics on his macbook
as you can see, all 6 pairs worn by the same guy…check the similar fading!
so that´s it…hope you enjoyed the show
