Bugger, they really are. W34 is perfect for me.

25oz that most likely stretches back quickly intrigues me…
No guarantee it will be quick. I’m speculating totally. The 21oz stretches quickly. You notice a difference after the first day. After a week the difference is big. The 21oz OD stretches even more readily and seems to stretch more from starting dims.
With the 25oz, the two OD processes should strip any and all shrinkage out meaning the jeans will stretch, back. However how much and how quickly is an unknown factor until we get hard data back here. @Paul9221 may be our man for that.
I'm definitely not your man for fading progress because I have quite a few things that I rotate, but I'll be happy to take some pre and post measurements! Because it's double-OD, I'm going to assume no shrinkage and won't soak them. But I'll let you know what the measurements are before I put them on and give you an update a day later and then a week later.

Hasn’t there been XHS OD? I’m assuming the MB’s would behave similarly in terms of stretch.

There has been, although I don’t remember it being documented. Plus this is different again and I’m a geek [emoji1]

Congrats! I do not have the cash flow right now…and there aren’t that many in stock [emoji24]

Technically I have zero cash flow right now, too, but I’ve convinced the wife that this is the entirety of Christmas. [emoji23] Convenient timing.

I'm envisioning a living room with a pair of 888XHSMB in the center, adorned with garland and ornaments

Hoping ya'll could weigh in. I normally try to get jeans that after stretch will be 35.5 waist. If I get a "mid rise" jean this means that it will sit comfortably on my waist and not require a belt. I'm torn between the 33 and 36. The 36 will surely stretch beyond this and require a belt, but I'm wondering if the 33 would be doable because the cut sits above the mid rise line and my body proportionately tapers in above my hips. Does anyone have experiencing sizing different iron heart cuts according to the rise? Do you usually buy the same waist measurement despite the cut? What kind of waist differentials can you get away with between cuts?

Personally, I don't wear these too much higher than a standard rise pair. When I first got the 888, I would hike them up but they always ended up settling at my waist. So my advice would be to go with your standard waist measurement.
Maybe someone else can chime in. I might be doing it wrong [emoji14]
