I'm at my daughter's swim lesson and the grandfather of one of the other kids sounds exactly like Michael Caine.

Small wonder! The poor people working in the bank….. You can be glad that it didn't get you arrested. Which are you going to scare next, a liquor store, a pharmacy??? Plenty of possibilities to spruce up daily life in quaint old Wales.... Enjoy! And if we suddenly don't hear from you anymore, we'll know where to look!

@501/IH:

I don't think so, most people on Wales look like that anyway…..

You do have me laughing loud and long here, thanks mate! Have a heart and don't scare anyone to death, will ya….

Nice, what are you making with it? Boots, jackets, wallets, belts? Do I ask too many questions?

I'm guessing the other color is Orange. I'm also guessing that the tannery is Compiel, since that looks like the same color selection as Tricker's, and that's where they get theirs.
Oh, and probably not jackets or belts, given the size limitations of cordovan shells. And Wesco doesn't strike me as the type to do cordovan boots, but I could be wrong. However, IH has used cordovan for wallets, card holders, key hooks and the like in the past, and Giles had mentioned a lack of reliable sources being an issue. So those are my guesses…

Cordovan isn't even suitable for garments imo unless as a detail such as a reinforcement of a strap or something.

We'll see when I get it…..

Red Robin is advertising its "bottomless basket of steak fries." I am afraid to think about how many pounds I would put away before I collapsed into a coma.

Haven't posted in a while. Moving has taken more time and effort than I originally anticipated. I'm finally installed in Miami but the heat and humidity have prevented me from wearing just about any heavy weight fabrics. I'll see how cool it gets over the "winter" to decide if I maintain my collection or off-load some of it. It's really fucking hot here. All the time.

My sympathies. It must be one hell of an adjustment.
Emphasis on the "hell" portion…

Good luck in Cuba. Glad to see you back.

Two things: first, my daughter has decreed that my car is now named "Strawberry Swirl." Second, our local casual sushi restaurant has surprisingly good fries.
