There is possibly (probably, in case she reads this) one thing I have learned from my wife. There is no point in stopping flogging a dead horse.
After WW2, the Japanese youth loved the badass way that the US GI's strutted their stuff in Japan. And by that, I mean what they rode, what they drove and what they wore.
They decided to "borrow" that look. If they had not, we would not have a Japanese jeans industry now.
Full stop.

I have wondered this quite some time?
Why do people buy motorcycle clothes, especially jackets when they don't actually ride??
'cos they look good isn't the answer I'm looking for.Posers?? wanna-be bad boys? The image the black leather gives to others…(well, that is the bad boy thingy, I guess)
Please explain so that this simple soul understands?
Injun - are you just trolling for the sake of it?

Beating up a dead horse…
Hectic, that was at least 3/4 serious question that popped to my mind a while ago.
and I wrote there "'cos they look good isn't the answer I'm looking for"
Should have written that I can accept that reasoning. I was assuming there might be some other reasoning also, but at least nobody admitted that.
Me thinks this got wrong turn from the beginning.
FULL STOP from here also.

I just wear leather jackets because they are waterproof, they look damn good, they can take a beating, they last forever and I like how they feel, how they grow on me and how I grow into them.
I rode a plastic rocket in my (even) younger days, if that counts..

I have this question in mind since I first came into my DC4001 last year.
There are these models of TW that come in natural indigo, the others are in synthetic indigo.Daniel told me back then the denim is dipped 22 times in the indigo bath… but I forgot to ask.
So here is my question: Is IH denim made of natural indigo? Or is the bath a blend of natural/synthetic?
I've looked for a topic that was concerning the production (Haraki San column) but could not find this info.
Thanks in advance!

Back in the 80's I had an official "Rambo" knife, with a little tool kit, a sewing kit, a compass, and even a mini torch built in, plus the blade was sharp as fook. With hindsight, possibly not the most responsible present for my dad to buy his 11 year old son
