Without a doubt, Geo was a solid guy and fucking really nice guy. Sometime back when I decided to order my first pair of jeans I was looking for advice. I immediately turned to Geo even though we’d never communicated at all, even in forum posts related to some topic. I’d read enough of his posts to know that he was a solid, thoughtful guy and knew he would help me. He answered every question I had in a series of IMs. I didn’t know at that time that he was ill, and had been ill (this was in May of this year), and was undergoing treatment at that stage, yet he still spent a great effort in his council with me and patiently went into great detail. A week or so after our discussion I found out he had been sick and I sent him another message thanking him again and wishing him the best in his plight. His response:
Thanks Carl - yeah think I'm lucky to be at an early stage - so we will see how it goes
No worries if you need any more info
Best
Geo
…This from a man who is dealing with some big things and is carrying on like it’s no big deal (!).
Count yourselves fortunate, you that were lucky enough to sit down and have a beer with him and enjoy his genuineness.
