Whatchu smokin? (cigar thread)
-
I did a quick search and didn't see anything, so I figured the cigar aficionados deserved a thread too.
So, what are you smoking now?
I don't get to smoke nearly as much as I'd like, given the generally terrible smoking weather here in MD. But yesterday was nice and I got outside with my old standby: CAO Black (torpedo). I generally like "natural" or "habano" wrappers, and appreciate larger ring gauges and impeccable construction (prob sounds familiar to people here ;)). I like lots of smoke and hate burn/draw issues. I generally don't like CT shade wrappers (too grassy) or maduros (I get an acrid flavor from them). Other than that I love trying some new stuff, and hope to get some ideas from you all.
Semi-related, I just suggested an IH cigar ashtray over in this thread, so if that seems like a good idea to you then sound off over there.

Padron is king kong in my book–never have draw/burn issues and their Anniversary and family reserve lines are deserving of their price.
Aged Fuentes and decent Cubans with some years on them have a place for sure but the draw issues have ruined too many great cigars for me.Tatuate, My Father, Illusione, and Liga Privada also have space in my 'wine-a-dor'

I get mine from a site called cigars international, which is located relatively close in PA. Previous buying binges have left me with a surplus and I haven't had to buy in a few years though.

I'm also in Maryland @tvenuto, very close to Baltimore. It appears we both like Iron Heart and cigars. Maybe we should meet up! Shoot me a PM if you that is something you would be interested in.

Smoked a delicious 2016 Tatuate's Saints & Sinners club cigar last night.

Beautiful day in MD. Went to a friends house briefly, long enough for my daughter to play with his…and for the gentlemen to get stinky. Me: CAO Black, Him: Torano Exodus 1959. Second pic is what I mean by solid construction, about 1/3 of the CAO is ash and I actually knocked it off before it fell on its own.

Awesome weather for a grill and a smoke. CAO Criollo.

It's official, you're twice the man I am. Thanks for the pics.

Nice selection @cole. Thanks for the reminder about Latelier…

Ha I've been working on it, my friend. CAO black and Leopold Bros rye while grilling tonight.

No pic this time but smoked an Olivia Meliano V that my friend gave me last night. Paired it with some Elijah Craig Small Batch and some grilled meats. Very enjoyable, great construction and tons of smoke, which I like.

Outstanding cigar. A must try.
