IHWE-PO - Iron Heart Int'l x Wesco® - 8" Rough-Out Burlap Pull-On Boot
-
I live in the Southern US and these would be my choice for summer boots too lol
Mainly because how awesome they look with off-white pants/jeans

Summer? Mmh… Double midsole is the best insulation when outside is really cold. In addition, these boots are very, very heavy.
I know, I have a pair of custom boss in heavier leather, with a double mid. But I also live north of the arctic circle…
Point. But what about your winter boots?

Winter boots are these: https://postimg.cc/image/4fhx5a0on/
and these:

The vibram 420 and oil-tanned leather on the Wesco's, and the #100 and roughout on the Vibergs make them both good for the cold season.
The half sole and light coloured leather on the PO would be a winter disaster. But in summer…

Not exactly the best pairing, but funny enough. I believe.
This is for fun, I usually wear boot under my jeans, not like this
but, by the way, the ones in this photo were a pair of LVC 501Z, which are about 7" hem (same of 555 and 777 in my size, W29 L32). This is the only way you can wear TBWE-PO with those.

@Goosyphus - if it helps to justify, I will say these and the RW Pecos are very different in nearly every aspect. I too have the pecos, and I had the wesco samples in the smooth out, full height version of these and can attest to how different they truly are.
The wesco have a round toe, while the pecos has a more classic roper toe. the color of the two is also vastly different. The wesco is more of a light tan while the pecos are almost orange. Also, the sole and heel is really what sets the two apart - the wesco has the double mid sole and the higher heel, which works much better for jeans with lager leg openings and thicker cuffs. While the RW looks fine with straight tapered bottoms, the wesco will look fantastic with straight and slim straight models as well as the slims due to the shorter shaft.
I like my pecos, but these would easily overshadow them in very way possible.

@Goosyphus Just ordered a restock….

@Appfaff I didn't mean to imply they were so similar - more that I personally have a hard time justifying 2 pairs of pull-on boots at same time based on money. I appreciate the details though. Did you order same size in both boots? I have 8.5 in the pecos and they fit well. Would you recommend same size?
Thanks again.

@Goosyphus - I wear a 9.5E in the Pecos and would be a 9.5D in the wesco. Hope that helps!
