Random Rants

feck. how did I not know about the ltd edition remaster of Morricone's The Thing soundtrack?
-
Worst part about it is that it'll be like this until November more or less.
Sometimes I wonder if I should move somewhere cooler.this is why I like living in the upper midwest – I get to enjoy all 4 seasons. I know a lot of you guys live in the south and still wear UHF's but i'd probably die of heat exhaustion if it were me.
-
I often think the same, especially in late September, when it's still 90 and humid.
September is the worst for sure, same with October but at least it starts to cool down at night here by then.
Been in Austin for 7 years now, never lived anywhere my whole life longer than 8 years so I'm getting the itch to move honestly. -
Do it now, while you can do so relatively easily.
It gets exponentially harder when there are spouses, kids, careers, homes, etc. involved. I did twelve years in Houston, and even getting out of the city was daunting. Getting out of the state probably will never happen.

Yeah the idea of moving has been flying around in my head a lot recently, especially with how difficult it's been for me to find a full time job with room for growth. My current position isn't something I can see a real future in.
But that could be a whole different random rant. ::) -

That's what caused my move to San Antonio…
-
By "now" Chris means when it cools down a bit.
Somehow I always seem to move in the August/September timeframe. Not kosher.
-
Dont recall it being this hot last year. Still wearing UHRs but 25oz'rs are a no-go.
-
Yeah, I meant "now" figuratively, not literally. Only an idiot would move in August. Especially next week, when it's going to be over 95 in both Houston and San Antonio. For example. That would be a really, really bad choice…
-
I feel your pain. Work sucks, it's overrated.

And yet i did last year at this time…:)
not my first ID10T award

And I'll spend the next five days doing it. Good life decisions, right?
-
dry or humid. tripple digit weather SUCKS!
-
I know everyone wants stuff asap when they buy it, but people that don't understand that post offices are only open limited hours a day, which also line up with most job schedules are just a pain in the ass. I'm sorry you bought something Monday and I didn't have a chance to ship it out until Saturday, let me tell my boss I need time away from work to ship a shirt, I'm sure he will understand. (Sarcasm)

I really hate car repairs. Doesn't the mechanic know? How am I supposed to buy more IH gear if i'm spending $ on my car?
-
Agreed. Recently had to get a 30K mile service done which cost approximately 1.5 UHFs. At least that's how I looked at it.

I was looking at it the same way :D. Since i'm not a mechanic I have no freakin' clue what the damage will be – I have to bring it in this Thursday to find out. My Google-fu skills didn't fill me with confidence either. Basically, when I step on the brakes I can hear a flapping noise. I've read on several sites that this could be my timing belt, or it could be something else altogether. Needless to say, i'm stressed out about it.
