Freenote Cloth

Found another little brand that have some things I like. I took special note to their Rider jackets, both the Raw Fleck and Waxed Canvas. They do have some other items, jeans, pants, wovens, knits etc that are worth looking at, but the jackets are what caught my attention.
Here are a few quick pictures of both jackets.
Raw Fleck Rider
Close up of the warp and weft difference in the fleck. They say it has so slubness to it. Which I like.
Here is the waxed version…if I don't like the fleck that much, I am going to get this one(even though I wanted a warmer riding jacket).
The raw fleck is just denim. The waxed is canvas with about 79% cotton and 11% wool lining. So probably quite a bit warmer, but looks awesome.
Anyone else ever have time with this brand?

Just received my black fleck in Large…LOVE IT. I will take some fit pics and detail photos little later and post. Such a nice denim and fit!

Gussets do a great job, lots of room
Rivet and close up of this denim
All the pockets are great on this jacket, the inside pockets are huge! I love it
Elastic strips to assist the gussets in returning back, great idea
I do have a medium coming in, which I know will be a little too small for me. If anyone is interested. All online sales, there are none left I believe and they won't be making anymore.
-
Gr8 images & fit is okay. That fabric is kind of nutz.
Gr8 job
-
That thing looks pretty amazing. Badass fabric and a nice cut. Plus good gussets make a jacket.
-
Yes the nep denim is pretty crazy and I love it. Fading will be even more unique.
My eye sees a very dark indigo warp with a black weft, so the fades will be awesome!
I think this denim will be fast/moderate at fade rate. I will be rocking this jacket everyday for a while
-
Already have some fading. It will be a nice vibrant blue in a few months time
I'll post some pics one day soon.

These are inbound to me…. 13.25 loomstate double indigo jeans. They title it loomstate and unsanforized, but one washed. Dunno how that works, but a wash should make it not loomstate I thought. None the less a beautiful denim! Hope it is as slubby as they say as pictures don't always do justice.
-
This refers just to the fabric. It was a true loomstate fabric, made into a pair of jeans and then washed. So they just carried out the initial wash for you.
-
Quick pic of the denim. It really is beautiful and slubby!
-
Bad pic, but these will def be an awesome denim once worn hard. Fades are starting pretty dang quick, though little for now.

I just picked up a pair of 13oz vintage wash pocket Ts from Freenote (faded blue & dark olive), and they're wonderful! Obviously, I haven't washed them or anything so I don't know how they'll hold up but they're beefy and the color looks great!

Wow no posts in freenote since 2019?
I’m gonna revive this thread.
Freenote Cloth is one of my favorite brands next to IH.
This is only my 3rd piece from them but I’m gonna get a lot more over the years.
I finally got my hands on a Riders Jacket (RJ1) in the oak color.
Fits awesome! And the waxed canvas is super thick. There is an awesome southwestern liner too. I love that since I’m living in AZ. Plus the oak color is perfect and will go with just about anything.
Check out this packaging too! -
Looks great, man! I like Freenote a lot, too — I've got a denim western of theirs that I love, plus a really nice flannel. I've been very tempted to get that rider jacket in black, but I've just held out because I don't need any more jackets. One day I'll buckle, though
-
Looks like a cool jacket @Choko , the pleats remind me of the type ii I just got. I don't have anything from freenote but have always been intrigued
-
I like Freenote, I have a great Military khaki style shirt that gets a lot of wear.
Assuming you’re talking about the khaki utility shirt I totally agree. Love that thing.

Thank you @popvulture! The rider jacket won’t disappoint, the quality is top notch. Freenote is a really small company too. They only have 5 people running the whole show. It’s great that they focus on the little things.
Also, thanks @Joberwocky! There are some benson heavyweight flannels dropping on March 1st. Definitely check them out. They’re just like UHFs.
