IHSH-105 - Quilt Lined Ombre Flannel Western Shirt With Side Pockets

Good choice and fit @Kacakembun … one of my favorite IH-shirts

I got my black one today. When the price dropped it was a no-brainer.
When this and the 106 came out I decided I had to prioritise one and ended up with the Brown 106 which I love. I honestly thought I'd made the right choice based on the photo's and when the 106 came then it's so good I had to be right, right? Wrong. Imho, having got my hands on it, this is the better shirt.
The photos on site do not do the colour any justice. It's darker and warmer, with less colour contrast in reality. And the material… Oh my days. It's the same combo of soft and heavy you get with the 21oz denim that makes you think, how can anything be so tough and yet so gooood at the same time? Added to that the fit (at least on me) is better. Shorter and snugger, more flattering.
@TrickHell has it spot on, it doesn't look like it should be on site, but it is classy and elegant as well as comfortable.
@Giles this is, I guess, a retailing challenge; how do you get across the way a piece feels via the website? Because if people had felt the quality of this then it would have sold out in seven seconds flat.

@TrickHell:
Honestly, I was really "meh" on this until I went into SELA and tried one on. Then I couldn't live without it.
Exactly that.
Not me
iron heart shirt-jac, exactly what what I was waiting for and everything I thought it would be. Great piece, glad I don't have to live without .

I also got both the 105 and 106 after seeing them in reality. But I think it had to do with people saying it would be super warm and not wearabl inside. I don't think this is true, it breathes pretty good.
-
Wish I had got the black as well. My brown got so much wear last winter.

@spitfiredealer I don't know where you are in the world but the last time I checked the Self Edge website they still had a few. Don't know which sizes…

Cheers man but no XL and not at the bargain price

@Haddtoo:
The lining doesn't shrink…mine resized enough that the hem in the back needs to be opened and have the lining shortened to get rid of the curl up
Good day to you! I have had this shirt for a year (or two - I honestly cant remember when these came out) but I have never dared to wash it. I WOULD like it to shrink but worry about the lining issue you mentioned. What happened? If I do want it to be smaller what would recommend? Do you advise against wash and dry in the machine?

I've washed mine three times at 30 degrees on a very low spin. It hasn't shrunk anywhere. I strongly suspect that if you wash it hot (60 degrees or more) the flannel will shrink. It's cotton. The lining is polyester; a hot wash/machine dry might well fuck it up. I wouldn't risk it.
