Pocketknives/Kitchen Knives/Fixed Blades

I'm gonna look over all these. And you just read my mind Doug. Kershaw Cryo and Leek were in my amazon cart last night but I waited to see if anyone had any advice. Looks like I was on the right cheap track.
Also, I've only had CRKT knives for the last few years and I do really love the brand too. I'll look into the Eros as well.

Giles, where did you get the Chives?

Hit me up if you need to ship to my house and then I'll ship to yours. NYC has become a nanny state, and has really cracked down on knife sales
Kershaw is usually better to get through Amazon because of their warranty policy. I usually go though Knifeworks.com, Knifecenter.com, or Newgraham.com when I can't go through Amazon for production knives. GPKnives.com also has good prices but I've never shopped through them

Microtech might be worth checking out…
Microtech's warranty is famously shitty
Good to know, a buddy of mine just gave me one as gift a while back, haven't handled it a whole lot because I'm not to into autos but I know they are U.S.A. made and seemed decent enough the little I did handle it. Thanks for the info Doug!

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I'll let you know if I need any more help, Doug.

I ended up getting a Kershaw Cryo and a Kershaw Scallion with a red anodized aluminum handle for $66.66 shipped. Maybe a carbon fiber blur or G10 leek will be next.
-
Yeah, I just wanted a smaller knife, really dont own one. Maybe I'll wait for the Cryo II…
-
Yessss.

Special thx to Eli. I found a 25oz worthy knive to carry around
Please don't take this as criticism, but I really don't understand the whole knife-carrying 'thing'.
I'm just a peace-loving dude who grew up in a peaceful place and time, so it baffles me why so many people take knives around with them. In any case, it's illegal here as well.
Help me understand the interest.
BTW, some awesome looking pics here lately.

The problem is that you only see a knife as a weapon. It's not. It's a tool. It's man's oldest tool.
If you don't need a knife, don't carry one. But at least in my day to day life, I use it to open boxes, letters, cut tape, cut bindings, dig things out of hard to reach places (gravel out of my boot/splinter out of my hand), cut food (and I work in an office, not a blue collar job or anything particularly outdoorsy). I use mine all the time. I get particularly annoyed when another guy asks to borrow mine. For me, being a man means being prepared for what life throws at you. A knife is a good tool to make other improvisational tools as well.
Hell, even my wife keeps a small one in her purse, and I routinely have to sharpen it for her
There's a saying around here "If you're wearing pants, you've got a knife in your pocket"
