I've been all Ohta and Spyderco of late. Love the gimping on that blade Doug. Love my strop too.
-
Very classy Doug

All OHTA all the time!!!

My occasional carry when I need to dress it up:
Spyderco Dragonfly Nishijin w/ ZDP-189 blade
Not my pictures. Can't get a good enough shot with my iPhone
Sweet knife. I did a double take at first. I found a screaming deal on the Spyderco Chinese Lum with the same Nishijin scales which is in transit. I really like the look.

My knife came in today, Spyderco Chinese Lum. Took a couple pics next to my trusty delica 4.
-
Nice looking knife

Thanks, Jeff.
I'm usually not much of a carbon fiber fan, but the unique way they wove it intrigued me. The fact that Amazon had the knife at 70% off led to an impulse buy.
-
Nice Lum. I have the exact same knife and it is nice and flat but is a little on the slick side.
-
Ah, yeah it doesn't look like carbon fiber. I didn't notice that you can't switch the clip from right to left. Oh well may just take the clip off.

@Grumpy:
New necker I've been rockin…
Man that rig is sick. Love the bottle opener…thats a fantastic addition.
Ive been making due with with a bench made infidel. Its a total piece of shit but i get a 51% military discount and needed something auto for work. The other day i dropped it about two feet onto hardwood and managed to upset the auto system and snap the point off (knife was closed, deployed when it hit and broke the point off). Probably safe to say it will be my last bench made purchase. Thinking about a chris reeve sebenza.

I've been carrying a Spyderco Dragonfly in ZDP-189 the last couple months, and my coworkers husband was criticizing that it felt flimsy in hand and couldn't handle anything tougher than opening envelopes (he's a schmuck) because of the plastic handle
I handed him four blank CDs (roughly the thickness of the two scales) and told him to try to snap them.
Plastic materials: 1 Schmuck: 0

Doug, I don't believe so. This model is really a collab between Peter and his brother. Sort of a mid-tech'ish necker, but full custom. I kind of don't like the bottle opener either…

They're putting bottle openers and glass breakers on everything these days. If I didn't watch what I'm carrying, I could have four bottle openers and five glass breakers on me at all times. I'm waiting for someone to put one on a gun
