First Rose opened today.

Day 2 of the Rose.

Third rose. I think the earliest they ever bloomed. Besides the beautiful red color, they are extremely fragrant.

In UK, we call those beetles May Bugs.
I love how they come in like a cumbersome helicopter…..
"Maikäfer" in german which is exactly the same as May Bug… they are quite seldom now and seeing one reminds me always of my childhood when we usally saw a lot of them... forest owner are a bit afraid if they come in huge swarms as they can be pretty voracious
