IHM-04 - Alpaca Lined N1 Deck Jacket - Olive, Black and Navy
-
@Giles am I completely insane for even considering having a tailor attempt to remove the sleeves from my 04? It just doesn't get a look in at the moment and the idea of a black deck vest is very tempting. Just wondering how similar the construction of the bodies is and if this would even be possible.
Thanks!

It´s my third Winter in this jacket and it still looks brandnew.

Wearing mine a lot These days too. What I find fascinating: it is much warmer than some other jackets I own, but you only realize it when it's really cold. We had -9°C and strong (!) wind and it was fine.

^ pics or it didn't happen you Germans.
this is actually my favorite version of the IH Deck Jacket, that black lining really set it apart from the herd

Exactly my feelings. The black alpaca is awesome.
Yeah, I know I haven't posted much lately. Will try to do that soon. But I can assure you, navy looks great paired with the 816DD and the navy Mc Coys Muffler.

@Bluegrass , I should have guess from your handle you're in KY. I went to school in Lexington (UK) and I'm a Wildcat for life

Same to you if you ever happen to be in London [emoji482] -
@zatenm Please elaborate just a bit, how did you do the drawstring??
The better question is:
How long did you needed for this 'job'? .. my time was ca. 40 min - never again -
I've done this also. The trick I used was a length of single copper conductor wire. From twin and earth house wiring. It's flexible but rigid enough to thread it straight through. Push it through and tape your paraccord or lace onto the end. Like a big long copper needle!
